Review: Kao Biore UV AQUA Rich Watery Essence SPF50+ PA+++

Remembering a post I did awhile ago which shows Magic Babe Ning levitating an object? Well, some of you might have already guessed that the object is infact a Biore sunscreen, but do you all know that it is actually a NEW Biore sunscreen? ^_^

To introduce this sunscreen, I and Na took the opportunity to take pictures of this new product during our recent Sentosa beach outing!~

How niceeeeeeee to have products being taken at outdoors once awhile~ Beach, Sun, Sunscreen... they all link! ^_^

My pictures are all taken with my Samsung Note 10.1 hence the quality isn't much there. (I'm lazy to bring my camera hahahx~)

LOTD & OOTD: LUNA SEA Concert ~ Hair Colour Adventure ~ Reviews (feat. MUFE, L'Oreal, Goldwell)

Heyyyyy alll~ Today I'm going to talk about my experience on my first ever Jrock concert, LUNA SEA The End of the Dream Asia Tour 2013, which happened past Friday! ^_^
First up is my LOTD~ All ready to go for the Rockin'! ~\m/(^_,^)\m/~

My Hair Colour Adventure
Before I continue... I just wana show something I did on the eve of the Jrock concert.
Well, besides planning what to wear for the concert... I re-dyed my hair. With all the salons fully booked or closed for the Chinese New Year season, I decided to attempt DIY Hair dye at home to bring the orange back to life!
My orange hair basically had faded till almost ashy orange? light peach? some said amber.. well I duno what to call it, just see it for yourself.. ^_^"
Gahhhhhhhh... The ends are almost grey!
And so, I bought this Berina Hair Color Cream in A19 Golden Orange at IvyCosmetics only for $9.90 (90cents discount=$9) just because.... its named Golden Orange, the colour that I want. hahax~
This hair dye is made in Thailand. There are no gloves, instructions manual slips, capes, hair conditioner/mask.. nothing.
*Note the exp date is May 2013!!! I only realised it after I used it. =_="

Except for these 2 cream & 9%..... Bleach i guess?

Forgetting that my hair had already gone through bleaching, I went on squeezing all the contents from the tube and bottle into this Tau Huey Bowl. So who wants some tau huey?? Yum~~~
Berina Hair Color Cream Review
Even though the dye has bleach in it, I don't smell or feel any 'bleaching' on my scalp. But when I wash off the dye, my hair feels dry or I should say, drier than before I dyed it. So did the bleach make my hair dry? If so, then why is my roots still kinda black? hmmm...
When washing, the 'red' dye got washed out very fast... or maybe my hair is short? The red dye didn't bleed anymore after about 5 mins of rinsing.

My hair taken on the next day looks like this in my Iphone. I love the waves~~~ Looks super smooth yah? Lolx~
L'Oreal Paris EverStrong Deep Replenishing Masque Review
For these few days, I been washing my hair with several different shampoos depending on my scalp condition. I don't wash depending on my hair condition because scalp to me is more important and if it gets really oily, it will affect my mood and of course, my hair style too (which inturn will also affect my mood if I have bad hair day. lolx~)
I have been using L'Oreal Paris EverStrong Deep Replenishing Masque religiously almost every 2 days for my hair ends. It helps in hydrating my dry hair ends without making it feel oily, sleek (I don't like hair to be sleek), flat and most importantly, it doesn't cause itchiness to my scalp or worst, by making my scalp oily too. I know we don't apply hair mask on the scalp or near it, but with my short hair it is inevitable. The mask will definitely get to my scalp one way or another when I run it through my hair with my fingers.

The texture of the masque looks like this:

After masking, I will apply conditioner. (Just like face, you need a serum and a moisturiser. Hair works like this too) With my new warm orange hair, I definitely need a conditioner that can keep its colour and radiance. I dug into my stash of hair products and found Goldwell ColorGlow Deep Reflects Conditioner (Warm Brown) which I received quite sometime back (last year) from them.
Warm Brown... for Warm Golden Orange hair... that would work yah? Hhahax~
For the past few days, my hair colour maintained pretty well without any bleeding at all during hair wash. So I suppose this hair conditioner did helped alot. It also helped in smoothing my hair texture especially the ends. But it felt slightly oily, so I applied only a little bit, unlike the hair mask.

Anyhoo, after 4 days, my hair looks like this.
(Left pic: Under indoor white spot light. Right pic: Under natural sunlight)
At least the orange is still bright & obvious and the ends didn't fade to blonde/ grey. I'm not sure if it will continue to fade after that.. I shall monitor it and update on Instagram if it does.

Alright, now back to my LOTD!~
I only used 2 purple shades for this look. Continue to read to learn what I used on my eyes~
Don't be blaffed by the neon shade here, it only appear super purple because of the lighting... and I'm using the front cam of my Iphone. ^_^" Later in this post, you will get to see more of my LOTD~
OOTD: Rock on!!!
I was debating whether to wear this denim vest or not... Posted this on instagram, twitter & FB and everyone who replied said 'wear it'!
And so I did!~
Oh, my purple eyes matches the web/fishnet tights. Thanks to Jerlaine for reminding me to wear PRETTY leggies, and so she kinda reminded me that I have these for a long time but haven't got chance to wear them. Super happy that I can put them on now~ Btw its actually a gift from Na. ^_^
Posted this on my Instagram
LUNA SEA The End of the Dream Asia Tour 2013
Gotta thank these people for bringing cameras and offering to take pics with me otherwise, I won't have any pics of me at the event. hahhax~
Here's me, Xinyi, Kiyora and Kiyora's friend. Credits to xinyi's camera and her bf, Jon.
I'm like a big giant beside them.... (<_<")
And thanks to Kai too for taking pic with me~ Why i look so upset? Cos my hair got centre parting?
I like her tattoo stockings! Just realised we both wear denim outers. hahax~
And finally inside the concert hall!! I think its fate that my Jrock 'old' friends (not old as in age..) came walking in infront of us. I literally just wave my hands into their face hahhax~
This is the one and only most beautiful picture I took using my iPhone... As can see, I'm at the upper deck. Alot of my friends are at the first level! I'm not a huge HUGE fan of LUNA SEA but I still love them especially Sugizo! ^_^ And I love Ryuichi's vocal~ It makes me tremble~~~
I must say that I enjoyed the concert alot more than a Kpop concert. I love both kinds of music but for me to enjoy it is to be able to see the artistes with my very own eyes and not through a camera screen. As much as I want to capture them in my phone too, I don't go through the hassle of recording the concert or snapping 323059592348 photos of them the whole time. If I really want to, 10 pics or 1 min video clip is more than enough.
From the upper deck, I can clearly spot less than 10% of the fans are holding their phones/camera up to take pics/videos of Luna Sea when they were performing. When it come to silence moments, there will be more than 30% of the fans holding their phones up. And when they start performing again, all phones are down.
Unlike Kpop concerts (or MAMA which I went to), its like more than 30% of the fans will hold their phones up throughout the concert. I cant even see who is dancing infront of me. All I could see are the artistes through someone else's phone/camera screen. I think Jrock fans truely know how to enjoy a concert, they jump, they shriek, they headbang to every song that Luna Sea plays. I love this kind of crowd... or perhaps, its because we are older? I think most Luna Sea fans are like age 25 and above? lolx~ So we kinda feel tired holding a phone up for too long.. (besides Sebas that is. Lolx~)
After the concert, old friends gathered at Bugis for steamboat x BBQ. No need to say where I am, you can spot me even from another building.
An instagram pic of me and Mimi after the concert~ His pupils sho big!
LOTD with MUFE & Sleek Palettes
Left: MUFE TechniColor palette
Right: Sleek Carribean palette

I headbanged, I sweat, I ate steamboat.. and my hair & face is like this...

Eye makeup featuring the 'Lilac' shade from MUFE TechniColor palette and 'Purple Haze' from Sleek Carribean palette.
I applied Lilac all over my eyelid and then used Purple haze at the crease and outer corner. I need to practice more on shading dark colours as I always have 1 rounded corner and 1 sharp corner. *sigh~*
Even though the purple doesn't look neon as it is in previous pic, it still looks strong and very obvious when I look at it in the mirror. It didn't fade or have any fall-outs either.
The MUFE Lilac colour-payoff is really great! When I apply it on my eyes, the colour is exactly how it looks like from the palette. You know when you use light shades, it often appear even lighter than the palette. Or most of the time I think it is until I met MUFE eye shadows. Gota ♥♥♥ them!
Sleek's Purple haze is also pigmented but I find it hard to blend it into MUFE Lilac. I can see obvious lines of the dark purple at my creases. PLUS, I lack the skill in doing such eye makeup properly, so the whole eyelid colour just look kinda uneven. I am sorry to have spoilt all of your eyes for looking at my ugly LOTD... ^__,^"""
To end this post with a CNY mood, I present you red flowers sold by JONES!
One JONES selling CNY decorations not enough, there must be another JONES selling flowers ah?</p>
Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

Halloween 2012 Photoshoot: The Making & Bloopers ~ feat Midori Ribbon

When I began cosplaying, I had always wanted to do a few characters... before I thought of retiring from the cosplay scene.
One is character from Sailormoon, which I did the Sailor Pluto along with the whole Sailor team as its my first fav manga (will be posting pics of this photoshoot too... soon. lolx~)
Another is Jrock cosplay for various Shinya looks from Dir En Grey (I am still not done with it.. only had about 6 of his costumes)
Lastly, is to be a Witch. Be it a real character from manga/anime or a made-up one. (That's how my nick comes about...)

And there you have it! My inspiration for Halloween photoshoot came from this manga call ▼ Sugar Sugar Rune ▼

Though Sugar sugar rune is not about witches, the characters are... demon, devil, wizards but not witches.. However they fly around on brooms so I kinda think of them as witches.
Anyhoo, parts of my costume design is inspired by the fashion from Sugar sugar rune artwork. Their fashion has a mix of magical, fantasy, japanese plus english historical feel in it.

Hence, I make use of this feel to design my own costume~ Though I think my design's not really towards the Jap side but more of the magical+english? But I make use of a coloured wig to make it look slightly japish.

Costume Design
Below is my handdrawn Witch costume & broom design draft...

And below is Yuanie's Elf costume design draft done in photoshop. (I'm too lazy to convert mine into photoshop.. lolx~)

Here's how the characters actually look like in their normal day outfits.. a more Japanese feel compare to the first pic I shown.

Sourcing Materials

Sourcing materials for a self made-up character is more difficult than sourcing for an already made-up character whereby I just follow strictly to the picture and buy what is similiar to the artwork. Designing an outfit from scracth - this feeling is just like being a fashion designer yah?
Actually I already had a few ideas how the fabrics are like, but somehow few of them were bought just because they look beautiful to my eyes. Lolx~ Lucky me, all these fabrics matches each other well ^_^
As for Halloween props, most of them we just get from the pocket friendly and everything ready - Daiso!

Hey, Mimi!! Stop slacking on your job!!

We went to few places in search of parts and pieces for our costumes~
Our Halloween colour theme would be: Dark, Aristocrat yet Funky. (<_< WHAT IS THAT MAN?! HAhahax~)

Iron-on Rhinestone laces! I use this for the Neckline of my dress... but apparently got covered by my wig most of the time or its not really that visible cos its all black. DUH. =_=

Stepped into a costume & props shop~ Oh i like that Medusa head! My fav retro Villian! Maybe I should do it some day. kekekkex~

While having my costume being tailored, the only thing I need to sew myself is the hat. I hate hand sewing! =_=

Midori Ribbon
In my previous post, I did mention the use of Midori Ribbon in our costumes. So here's a clearer picture of the ribbons!

Mimi is curious too of what is inside the parcel~

I like Midori Ribbon's logo~ ^_^

I received 4 types of Ribbons from them! Of all, I used 3 of them in our Halloween costumes. I intend to use the blue on to do up something else, so it would be in a separate post. ^^

Midori Ribbon Promenade Ribbon in Henna

Midori Ribbon Dupioni Silk in Black

Midori Ribbon Dupioni Silk in Mica (I think its Mica.. definitely not Gold tho it look like vintage gold to me)

Here's how my costume turn out to be... some of the parts were different to the drawings but overall its pretty similar.

Rhinestone lace is ironed on along the neckline. The plastic belt thingy (not sure what its called, its not a belt either, but its beautiful~) is sewn on. Midori Ribbon Dupioni Silk Mica (vintage gold) is sewn around the waist to add a 3D effect to the dress and Midori Ribbon Dupioni Silk Black is sewn along the base of the dress ontop of the triangular flaps.

The hat is made base on this pic~ I end up sewing AND stapling the hat, cos I'm lazy. =P~

The bolero (cape-like outer) makes the whole costume look complete.

And not forgetting the most important prop, Witch's broom! Even without the witch pointy hat, but with a magical flying broom, it will automatically make the character look LIKE she's a witch. Playing with psychology~Hahhahax~

I love how the Dupioni ribbons twirls by itself casting nice shadows and relfects beautifully.

The Elf costume is made out of a long asymmetric turtle neck top (like a coat, but worn as a top) and a pants accompanied with a hat that Yuanie did by herself using craft foam, buttons & ribbons. The ribbons she used to accessorise over her top is also Dupioni silk ribbon + thin gold satin ribbon (I bought it). Gold chains are a last min add-on with help from Di, I'm amazed how that chain can hook onto the zipper so nicely! Its actually my gold chain belt you know... o_O"

The photoshoot is done at my house....... and i think this probably is the first time showing my messy working area... which is also part of the living room... >__<"

▲ Try spotting Mimi! ▲

Brian at my Dining area (the dining table moved to the left side) putting up the background (sewn together by Yuanie) & cobwebs. We didn't place the fake spiders onto the cobwebs because Mimi-  thought they were preys and he jumped onto the cobwebs trying to catch them. (<_<")

Pumpkins making out...
and below, is the acrylic crystal charm I wore for my character. I like the shape of the crystal!

Photoshoot time

Into my costume and done with makeup~ I didn't have any idea how I wanted my eye makeup to be (too busy with costume), I just leave it to my brain to think of it when I hold up my brush. Well, then it came out to be funky colours with edgy feel to it.. lolx~

Props up as well!~

Brian doing some test shot while I take some pics with mobile phone... The sky is dark so the pics from my mobile came out dull and noisy.

Behind the scene pics taken by Di~

We stop at our pose and looked up to the left side because there is a LCD TV there. Brian is making use of the TV to show us the pics, so we know if we want to retake again. Woots~ Kudos to technology~

I look like I have a pumpkin lantern floating above my hand..

Now you know how I FLY on my broom??

I am never short enough for anyone. Lolx~ Opps! =X

Even Mimi is also in the scary Halloween mood. He kept going under the dress and peaking out from the fabrics, then paws people's leg when we walk past.

Mimi says: YOU CANNOT SEE ME!!! (Like DUH?)

Halloween 2012: Witch & The Elf ~ feat. Midori Ribbon

[image intensive: for every pic is of high resolution]
I know this post came super late... But I guess posting this before year 2012 ends is better than posting this in year 2013.. lolx~ If you wonder why we did this 'original' cosplay and where we got the inspiration from, wait to read my next 'the making & blooper' post. ^_~
Before some of these pics were released through FB via the photographer, he was asking me "What theme name for this Halloween shoot?" I thought simply - Witch & the Elf. Why the 'Witch' comes first before 'Elf'?~~ Trying finding the answer from the pics~

Witch: by myself
Elf: by Yuanie (visit her cosplay site HERE)
Photographer: Brian Lim (visit his cosplay photography FB page HERE)
Helper: Di
*Photos are all taken by Brian Lim. Photos without his watermark are post-processed by me with Photoshop*

And there will be a Caption for every pic~ (almost all! =p~)
Enjoy! ^_^

Product Review: Lactacyd Intimate & Revitalize + Free trial kit

Worrying about dark intimate area and bikini lines? *Sob sob*
The answer to your intimate question is HERE! Read on~ ^_^
← This is NOT my intimate area! Its actually the fold between my thigh and calf. GOTCHA!~ =p hahahx~

The importance of intimate wash

It is important to always keep yourself clean. Once hygiene is neglected, women can easily get yeast infections, itchiness and might also produce unpleasant smell at their intimate area. Wearing of tight pants and menstrual period are also some of the causes of genital irritation and discomfort.
There are some who experience darkening of skin at their intimate area and bikini line too. These are caused by several factors like wearing clothes that are tight and coarse which increase friction and therefore darkening, and by chafing and sweating, most commonly due to obesity or women who have heavy thighs. Darkening will worsen if they sweat profusely and the clothes they wear do not absorb the sweat well.
To prevent skin darkening, sweat should either be absorbed from the bikini area, or cleaned regularly.
Additional step in preventing darkening of skin is to exfoliate the area to get rid of dead skin cells, especially when waxing is involved.
Intimate area of women is extremely delicate, thus it is important to always remember that body or other kind of soaps cannot be used to wash the area.
Use only feminine/intimate wash as it is specially made to not only cleanse but ease discomfort and makes you feel clean and fresh all day. By maintaining the pH level of your intimate area, will make it remains clean and healthy.

Lactacyd introduces Lactacyd White Intimate in Singapore, Singapore's first intimate wash with skin lightening benefits and the first of its kind that is made with natural ingredients. - after washing, it doesn't makes my skin too dry or has any tugging sensation
- doesn't irritate my skin at all
- skin feels fresh and clean
- keeps my skin feels dry and cool
- loving the floral scent that lingers on my skin
- keeps my intimate area feels fresh for almost whole day (when I don't sweat)
- haven't see significant results of skin lightening (as I only used it for 1 week)
- experienced less itching around bikini line (due to sweat)
- loving the soft, fresh after-feel whenever I use it! ^^

Lactacyd Revitalize

Lactacyd introduces their new youth reviving feminine wash, Revitalize, which will make its Asia debut in Singapore. Lactacyd Revitalize contains gentle cleansing and anti-aging properties such as Vitamin E, Collagen and Trehalose (a long lasting deodorant moisturizer) - which will help to rejuvenate skin and leave it firm and supple.

Key features:
- Proven effective in firming and moisturizing
- Made with natural ingredients
- pH Level 5.2

For best results, use thumb-sized amount twice daily

Review of Lactacyd Revitalize Feminine Wash
The texture...
- It has gelish lotion kind of texture (similar to body wash/shampoo texture, same as Lactacyd Intimate too)
- has pretty strong sweet floral + powdery scent
- when in touch of water, it is easy to lather
- feels silky smooth when washing with the foam
- immediately my skin experience a minty fresh feel
- thereafter, it has this cool and gentle tingly sensation
- easy to rinse off
- slight fragrance lingers after rinse

After using...
- it immediately freshen up my sticky (cause by sweat), tired skin after a long day
- after washing, it doesn't makes my skin too dry or has any tugging sensation
- skin feels fresh and clean
- keeps my skin feels dry, cool and fresh
- the minty sensation stays on even after the bath, it makes me feel so refreshed
- the minty sensation doesn't irritate my skin at all
- loving the sweet floral scent that lingers on my skin
- keeps my intimate area feels fresh for almost whole day (when I don't sweat)
- skin at my intimate area do feel so much cleaner and fresher after using it for 1 week
- experienced less itching around bikini line (due to sweat)
- loving the soft, fresh after-feel whenever I use it! ^^

Overall Review of Lactacyd Feminine Wash
Though I didn't use them long enough to give further reviews of the products, however I must say that it is REALLY a must to use feminine wash daily for our intimate areas because it felt SO MUCH different in compare to using any other wash (like body wash/ soap etc). At times when I am lazy, I went ahead with using just body wash to wash my intimate area and it has this dry tugging sensation and it can cause itchiness too.
Lactacyd provides a range of feminine wash which we can choose from. Each of them provides a different sensation when used. Like here, I have the Intimate and the Revitalize wash and they both gave me 2 different feels and after-feels.
I basically rotate them around depending on which one I prefer to use during that period of time.
On normal days, I'll pick the Intimate to use because I wish to lighten the skin at my intimate area, that is when I do not have any vigorous exercises or sweating before or after the wash.
And when I know I'm going for exercises, long walks with alot of sweating, I will pick Revitalize. To rinse off the sticky feeling from my intimate area and bikini line.
After 2 weeks of using Lactacyd feminine wash, aside from skin feeling clean and fresh, I experienced my skin feeling smooth and soft too. ^^

Event: Enavose Spritzy Fun with Sunbrella - Invisible Sunbrella UV Mist SPF45

Few weeks ago, I attended Enavose's Spritzy Fun with Sunbrella event.

We were there to learn about the absolute summer essential, the Invisible Sunbrella UV Mist SPF45

The event was held at Fullhouse Cafe, Rendevous Gallery. A cozy little cafe great for tea party~ :)

Gota love the decos! Rose petals, paper windmills, cute candle lamps~~ Ohh~~~ And pastries!~

At the event, we were required to guess the number of mini Sunbrellas in the glass tank! I got it correct, it was 35! But there were 3 of us who got the right answer so we need to PK, and I lost. (>_<") Not that good luck for me eh?

Besides Sunbrella UV Mist, Enavose displayed their whole range of skincare products on the table too.
