I.Fairy Lens Galore & Review ~ Exhibits of Contact Lens

Recently I purchased I.Fairy lens together with friends through youmilens.blogspot.com.

If you had followed me, you might have read about my past few reviews on I.fairy lens. They are so good that I had gotten a few of my friends to buy it too and they simply love it! ^^  And I keep ordering I.fairy lens for my own backups incase I need it for cosplay purpose or just for fun in wearing it.
posted in Instagram

Close-up pictures of my friends' lens including Yukino's, Ah Ru & her sis' and Xinyi's ^^.
(In top-bottom sequence)

And then me alone, I bought 7 pairs of lens... =p~

Kimchi Kiss in Pink
I.fairy Nova in Brown

And lastly, one which i forgot to take before i open it up to use.. ^^"
I.fairy Binky in Violet

Review of the recent I.Fairy Lens:
From this batch of new orders, I started wearing I.Fairy Binky lens in Violet. The moment I place the lens onto my eyes, my eyes felt uncomfortable, unlike last time when I wear them, they are pretty ok. NOT comfortable but just OK. I mean, seriously, who can feel comfortable wearing lenses right? So I usually felt ok with it, but now not with Binky Violet.

I had worn it for several occasions and I kept blinking my eyes (due to slight stinging feel) and my eyes start to tear and became reddish.
I wasn't really sure if the reason were my eyes or the lens because for the past few months, my eyes kept tearing without warning (without any lens). At times i tear like a river non-stop.

I had also stopped using Rohto Eye Drops (for reddish eyes), I wonder would that be the reason why my eyes felt uncomfortable when I wore I.Fairy lens. Infact, I often use Rohto Eye Drops after I wash my face to refresh my eyes, then put on lens before makeup. And that usually stop me from tearing or feeling that my eyes are uncomfortable with the lens on.
At the back of my mind, I kind of blame it on the I.fairy lens because I.fairy had became popular worldwide, I think that the manufacturer had to produce large quantities in shortest amount of time, therefore the quality became bad.

I also ordered Kimchi brand lens, though the brand differs, the girl model for the lens is still the same so I thought the company making Kimchi lens is the same as I.fairy. Hence I felt safe buying it since I loveeeeeeee I.fairy lens. lolx~ I will do a review on Kimchi lens too in future after I'd worn it. ^^

Review of my first ever White Lens:
I got this White lens from hair stylist Dylan who wanted me to wear it for a Hair show.
At first I was really paranoid because from my lousy memory, i remembered that white lens are categorized as Animation lens. And Animation lens comes from the brand GEO.
OMG, I HATE GEOOOOOOOOO!!! I had worn 3 different pairs and I never have any good experience with them. It STINGGGGGG my eyes like a bee.

But then......... When he pass me this ▼ (refer pic), I ponder.. What BRAND is this? The box didn't indicate the brand except for 'Contact Lens' plus some japanese words.

And so I tried it on....... Sorry if I scared you. haha~ (either with the scary eyes or my scary face) :p~

I heard that this box of white lens cost him about $30 (Wow). My I.fairy lens are only $18/pair ^_^"
I researched alittle and found that there is a new brand name Twilight, selling Animation Lens. Did GEO just changed their name or they changed the series name? So confusing.... :\
But this pair of white lens, I must say.... They are COMFORTABLE to wear! \^o^/ I didn't tear, it just felt slightly dry.. luckily I only wore it for less than 6 hours, until the end, my eyes still felt pretty ok with the white lens. ^^
Chinese like to say 一分钱一分货 (Quote from Di: 便宜没好货、好货没便宜) 呵呵~ Translated: You get what you pay for. hahax~

It's (post) Friday the 13th. BOO!!!!

While I'm doing research on lenses I came across this exhibition of CONTACT LENS. Interesting, isn't it? :D

[Pics from www.emptykingdom.com/main/featured/haruka-kojin-contact-lens]
Japanese artist, Haruka Kojin’s installation are ‘contact lenses‘ created in various sizes, with a warped viewpoint. Through the collage of lens, flat pieces and con-caved surfaces are interconnected in varying sizes. This allows the viewers a contorted and flipped viewpoint that changes the experience of space. Haruka is currently being exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

I.fairy & Kimchi lenses are purchased with my own money. I am not affiliated to youmiLENS.

Product Review: Lancaster Skin Therapy Anti-ageing Oxygen Eye Care (Eye Cream)

Last year, I bought Lancaster Skin Therapy products from Sasa. As seen HERE (among my other massive haul)

The reason I bought it was 1st, strongly recommended by BA (my tots was that she's just trying to earn her commission..lolx~) 2nd, I was tempted to get the SASA VIP card. 3rd, I am again tempted... by their free gift. Ah yes, I'm a sucker for free stuffs. /(^.^")\
And the last reason was that I'm trying to find an Eye cream replacement for my Suisse Programme Eye Essence & Eye Cream (also bought from Sasa).

I ended up with 2 Lancaster products as it was a requirement to buy up to $150 worth of Lancaster so to get their VIP card & gifts. ^^

Lancaster Skin Therapy Anti-ageing Oxygen Moisturizer $99 (50ml)
Lancaster Skin Therapy Anti-ageing Oxygen Eye Care $78 (15ml)

But today I'm not going to talk about the Moisturizer, instead, I'm going to talk about the Anti-Ageing Oxygen Eye Cream.

If you had read the product write-up from the back of the box, you'll probably be as excited as me when you see the words 'Revive your eyes contour in a flash', 'Correct dark circles', 'Eyes appear rested, brighter'.

Oh well, which product doesn't write like that?lolx~

If you read carefully, this product mentioned about O2 Fix System and Horse Chestnut. What's O2 Fix System? Well I'm not sure too, but according to Lancaster Beauty website, it suppose to capture oxygen and diffuse 'optimal amounts' to the skin.
Then what does Horse Chestnut (Aesculus Hippocastanum) do? Its said to improve vein wall tone, mend tiny leaks in veins and capillaries, strengthen and improve the elasticity of vein walls. It also improves circulation in the skin and since it strengthens the capillaries – it helps to prevent “capillary fragility” which leads to "leaking" from the capillaries into the tissue.
If one wants to find an alternative for Vitamin K ingredient in an eye cream, one  should look for Horse Chestnut.
I believe such properties could save my super dark circles as its often mentioned that broken blood vessels are its main cause, thus ingredients that have the ability of strengthening capillaries would be the best treatment for the dark circles.

In the Ingredients, I saw there's Caffeine & Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract. These caught my eyes as I'm a coffee lover myself, therefore it makes me wonder if Coffee benefits my body in anyway since I drink them almost everyday. I heard that coffee can prevent cancer, is that really true? ^_^

But for what I know, Caffeine has anti-inflammatory properties. So the theory is that if caffeine is placed under the eye, then it can help reduce puffiness and dark circle as they are caused by inflammation.

Talking about Coffee beans, they are actually the seed of coffee berries. Coffee seeds are natural anti-oxidants, that clearly explains why this eye cream uses coffee seed extract as one of its ingredient.
And hey, do you know that Coffee Berry Extract is one anti-oxidant that provides the best protection against UVA rays, UVB rays and age-accelerating free radicals? CoffeeBerry anti-oxidant properties are even higher than pomegranate, blueberry, acai or goji, higher than even green tea anti-oxidant.
If CoffeeBerry has such high anti-oxidant properties, then would its seed extract have the same amount of anti-oxidant level too???
Well, I couldn't find the answer through my search on the web, so it will remain as a mystery~ lolx~

Next, I spotted a few other ingredients like mica, silica and titanium dioxide in the eye cream. These ingredients are commonly used in cosmetics or mineral based makeup.
Though each of them have their individual benefits & reasons to exist in a skincare product, but I still like to regard them as makeup, even if they are of a very minimum amount. ^^"

Eye Cream tube
I have no problem getting the content out from the tube. The plastic tube material is not slippery kind, hence squeezing at the end of the tube won't have it flying out of my fingers. hahax~ ^-^

Eye Cream Swatch
When I first swatched it at Sasa, it kept giving me little residues after I blended out the cream. I was worried that it will do the same to my undereyes so I took quite some time in considering my purchase of Lancaster. After a few rounds of swatching, both me and the BA realised that the residues were mainly caused by our dirty hands! kekekex~ (⌐∑⌐)

Its cream texture felt slightly thick & dense. When spread out, it felt really smooth. At 1 point, I thought it contains silicon, but there wasn't any written in the ingredient list, or perhaps it has a secondary name to it?
When applied, the cream doesn't absorb easily on my undereyes. Some massaging had to be done with the fingers to make it absorbed.
While I'm blending out the cream all around my eyes and it started to get absorded to skin, that is the time I felt the texture turned alittle bit greasy. It's kind of like a smooth-almost greasy feel, if you know what I mean ^^"
But after its been fully absorbed, the skin around my eyes look matte and it felt powdery smooth!
Note that such cream if its not properly blended out, the cream that stays on the skin surface will harden quickly and form residues or small 'eraser-like' particles if I run my fingers through the hardened cream.
Below shows the cream → when blended out →  fully absorbed with visible mini micas. (top-bottom)

My Review on Lancaster Skin Therapy Anti-ageing Oxygen Eye Care Eye Cream
I only use this Eye Cream at night, because I'm afraid that it will have the residues like I experienced during my 1st swatch. Plus, because of its texture, it is EASY to get residues if I'm not careful enough.
Even though it contains mica which I often mentioned that I would prefer to use anything that contains mica in the morning, I would still use this at night because I found out that the eye cream is slightly dry and doesn't gives enough moisture to my undereyes, thus forming visible lines when I put on foundation.
1 main point that make me want to talk about this eye cream is that I experience visible results for my dark circles. Mind that I only use this every night, massaging it with the vibrating tool (from L'Oreal as shown below).
Day time, I use Suisse Programme Eye Essence & Eye Cream.
At first I wasn't expecting results from this eye cream (frankly speaking, I don't expect results from any eye creams cos I know my dark circles are hopeless! lolx~), so I didn't pay much attention to my undereyes. But 1 day, when I was concealing my undereyes, I found that I'd used lesser concealer than usual to conceal the dark circles.
And then the following week, I find that my dark circles are getting easier to conceal, as it started to look less visible! I find it so amazing that everyday during work, I had to go toilet to examine my dark circles and was really happy that it wasn't as visible as last time! =D
This 'miracle' happened to me after using the product for 1.5 months.
After I experience this 'miracle' I suddenly stopped using the Eye Cream as I was too busy with work and after that I even flew to KL for a cosplay event. I was too tired during that 2 weeks that I forgotten to use back my Lancaster Eye Cream.
Right after the trip back, my dark circles became hopeless again! hahhax~ ^∆^"
As for now, I'm using back this eye cream & I'm still waiting for that 'miracle' to come again. (^_^)

I also want to give credits to this L'Oreal vibrating tool! (lolx~) Its a simple yet wonderful eye massaging tool. I had used it ever since I won it from a L'Oreal event, and I even changed the battery for 3 times! (1 battery last about 1 month+, I use this twice daily-morning & night)
However I don't use its eye cream as I find it greasy, doesn't absorb well to my undereyes, am afraid that it will cause millia seeds.

And that's all for my review, thanks for reading~ ^^

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

Product names written and coloured in turquoise were given by its company to me for trial.

Thanks to Na, I got Sleek Paint Pout via her spree.. ^^ Each cost ~$11.30 after converting + shipping.

OCC Lip Tar vs Sleek Paint Pout
I have OCC Hush & Trollop, both are last year's birthday presents from Na ^^ And now I bought 4 Sleek Paint Pouts namely Cloud 9, Minx, Peachy Keen, Milkshade.
I did swatches of all, and found that OCC is more watery and Sleek feels alot thicker/creamier than OCC. Both are very pigmented and can cover dark lips. I prefer OCC for its smell and that it has this minty taste. But I prefer Sleek for its tip, able to control how much I want to dispense, unlike OCC it always flow a huge amount out and make a mess everywhere.
I did some colour mix with Cloud 9.. And come to think of it, I don't own any mixing palette.. time to get 1!  Any recommendations?^^

OCC Hush vs Sleek Minx
I did a DUPE swatch of OCC Hush vs Sleek Minx, as shown on 2nd pic. I gave up on OCC Trollop vs Sleek Milkshake because I find that they don't really look like dupes at all after I did my first swatch (above pic).
Although both looks pinkish but Sleek Minx has this mild rosy tint while OCC Hush is towards the beige side.

Sally Hansen Extra Strength Creme Hair Bleach (Before & After pic)
I think I forgot to show my before eyebrow pic..^_^" Anyways, just imagine messy black eyebrow!
The bleaching is so strong that it only took less than 5mins for my eyebrow to turn light brown. When its about time, certain part of my skin starts to sting. Its a warning to say that I'd put for too long, so I immediately wipe the creme off and wash it.
As shown below, I followed instructions, put 5ml of activator with 10ml of bleach. After mixing for sometime, it becomes more than 30ml which I can use it to bleach my eyebrow, finger hair, knee hair & toes hair (lolx~ Why the hell I bleach these areas?! Cos, I find these hair obvious and obscene than my leg hair. =p~) and maybe my armpit hair (if I have XD~)

Shu Uemura vs Shiseido Lash Curler
My Shiseido lash curler recently failed to curl my lashes even after I changed the rubber to a new one. Probably reason why because I been using it for like, more than 5 years? ^^" The metal parts now feels loose. Thus, Shu Uemura now officially replaces Shiseido curler~
Remembering at the beginning, Shiseido was as good as my current Shu Uemura curler. I had changed the rubber for several times already. I guess its really the time for me to let go. *sobx* T^T
Below shows the comparison between the 2. Note the areas that I drew arrows are the places that shows obvious differences.
And I wonder now, where do I buy the rubber for Shu Uemura? I bought Shiseido's from Chinatown, IVY shop. Not sure if they also sell Shu Uemura? o_O Anyone have any idea?

One of my latest OOTD

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

One tip that I can give is when curling lashes, do not pull or tug or you might weaken your lash roots and causing them to fall off, and if this worsens your lashes will not grow back again because the root head will be "dead".

Congrats~~~~~ to 秋天糖果! (AC in mandarin ^^)

I'll be contacting you via PM ^_^

miwitch's talk on: Frames VS Lenses ~ I.Fairy Lens Review part 2

Don't get me wrong. I'm not talking about degree specs versus normal contact lenses. If you had came here for this purpose, I'm sorry. Lolx~ but you still can stay on to read this post! ^^

Here, I'm talking about Fashion thick frames/ 'nerdy' specs VS Cosmetic/ coloured lenses!!! Yes, Fashion is the word. ^^

Before I start, I'm gonna show my recent 2 nerdy specs haul from Far East Plaza Talisman's store. 2 for $10! Talisman's brings in many specs designs and about half of them are made of rather good quality and their frame designs are very universal, meaning that they can suit many different types of face shapes. ^^

Talika Lipocils Expert 28-day efficacy test (27 Sept - 24 Oct 2010)

Some of you might had read my previous review of:

REVIEW of Talika Lipocils Expert in 12 days (27 Sept - 8 Oct)

and now you will get to see my.....................................

..................................

......................

...........

REVIEW of Talika Lipocils Expert in 28 days !!! (27 Sept - 24 Oct)

Pictures always say a thousand words. So, you gota BELIEVE your eyes...
Note: The following pictures are genuine pics of my bare lashes before & after using Talika Lipocils Expert. No fake, no photoshop, no drugs... uhh.. Anyways, the pictures I'm going to post now ARE my real bare lashes and nothing else!!!

My first application of Talika Lipocils Expert was on Sept 27th. Here, I am comparing Sept 27 to Oct 23rd & Oct 24th. (1st day, 27th & 28th days)

So, is it ALOT of difference????? YES???
Some of you might think I am blaffing, so how about we now see the difference of Oct 7 & Oct 23-24??? (I picked Oct 7 as the lashes appeared clearer than Oct 8 in picture so its easier to compare)

Still see any differences??? Another 2 weeks later from my previous review, my lashes grew longer again. Amazing huh?

Now... Let's compare the first day & the 28th day.

SPOT THE DIFFERENCES!

Comparison of Oct 8 (left) & Oct 24 (right) lashes in SIDE VIEWS

Now that you had seen the pictures, let's move on to words... ^.^ (Don't get bored!)

::Product Packaging Review::

1. Silver screw metallic chrome cap with white metal-like tube
My say: Honestly, nice and classic design. Just like any mascara tube would look like. Only problem I had was when after I did my skincare regimen, my hands are a little oily. The product becomes really slippery in my hands and I had problem screwing the cap off.

2. Applicator - Spiral bristles with furry sponge tapered tip end
My say: My favourite is the tip of the applicator. Whenever I'm in rush, I will use the applicator tip to go round the lash roots and brush my lashes in upwards motion without using the bristles part. The tip definitely had saved me alot of time for that as I find the brush is rather huge & wide. I had to be really careful in brushing my lashes with wide brushhead as my lashes tend to grow very near to my eyes.

::Product Content Review::
1. Yellowish-brown liquid gel

My say: Smooth to apply, absorb quickly except for the content that is on my lashes. I assume human hair absorbility rate is half the time slower than skin (?). Its a non-oily formula hence no oily or sticky feeling.
The smell is quite hard to describe as its not really pleasant nor unpleasant. I feel its more like a very natural kind of plant smell...
When content accidentally went into the eyes, there is veeeeeeery little sting or irrtation, bearable kind. When content is applied at the lash roots area, there is totally no stinging feel at all.
Unlike some products it stings alot even when its not applied yet.

2. 10 ml / 0.338oz content
My say: Content amount is sufficient for twice everyday, for more than 2 months usage.

3. Shelf life for 12 months
My say: Though its been labelled 12 months, we were told to only use it for 2 months and then discard it. (What a waste?) Although the product being all anti-bacteria, but it will still grow bacteria after a few months of usage due to in contact of air & water and maybe some of my eyecare product as well...

4. Ingredients

Aqua (water), Sodium Lactate, Carbomer, Hydrolyzed Sericin, Glycerin, Maltodextrin, Phenoxyethanol, Alcohol zdenat., Phosphatidycholine, Sodium Hydroxide, Allantoin, Dextran, Hypericum Perforatum (St. John's Wort) Extract, Pyrus Malus (apple) Fruit Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Aesculus Hippocastanum (horse Chestnut) Extract, Urtica Dioica (nettle) Extract, Coleus Forskohlii Root Extract, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-9, Acetyl Hexapeptide-1, Methyparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben.

My say: Nothing much to comment on, only thing I learnt from the speaker during Talika Bloggers event was that the content is anti-bacterial. It is good so that it will not do harmful things to our eyes and we won't go blind!

::Usage Process Review::
1. The application is simple. Lipocils Expert has a double applicator made of a mascara brush and a sponge applicator. Use the sponge applicator to apply the product on the eyelids, at the root of the lashes, then, use the brush to apply on your lashes. Apply every morning and every evening for 28 days, then once a day.
My say: I done similar to what that have taught to us. But on the first month, at times when I am super in rush or I turned forgetful, I will only use it once a day.
I use the product right after my skincare regimen and before I put sunblock when I'm going out. I will use the product last after my skincare before my sleep at night.

::Lash Result Review::

1. Talika's main objective - It is mentioned that by applying Talika Lipocils Expert on our lashes every morning & evening can lengthen them by 36% of our orginal lash length or 2.4mm longer.
My say: From the photos I can see that my lashes grow about >25% than my original lash length. However without a proper measuring equipment, I am not sure if I had actually hit the mark of additional 36% or 2.4mm lash length. But still, its so much longer than before, I am very happy in the lengthening effect.

2. Talika's secondary objective - It says Color can be intensified by 50% of original
My say: Definitely yes! Infact, I find that my lashes had turn "Fatter" in another words, each individual lashes become more plump up, make my lashes look thicker and hence in overall, I see the lash colour become intensed than before. In the photos taken, I can visibly catch every strand of lash clearly, making my camera easier to focus on them when shooting it. (refer side view pics) The 50% mark, I think I had hit that.

3. Talika's secondary objective - Lash curve is 50% more than original
My say: Looking at how each lashes become longer & thicker, I feel that they might not be able to curl up much since the lashes become heavier than before. Probably the lash curve factor doesn't work much on people who have lash roots facing downwards and lashes growing in a straight line direction. Wherelse for people who are born with curly hair & lashes, they would likely to experience a better curl effect than me.
I must say that ever since the lashes grew longer and thicker, it kind of form a heavy curtain infront of my eyes. My eyes are droopy and the lash roots are facing downwards, which cause my vision to become a little blur at the upper area of my view because of the 'curtains'. I will mark the result <10% as it gets droopier everytime the lashes grew longer and thicker.
During the first 2 weeks when my lashes starts to grow, I find that they are a little curlier too. But as they continue to grow longer, they become straight. I assume that the product is still trying to make my lashes curl up but due to the weight, it couldn't, hence it helped only by maintaining it straight. Otherwise I think my lashes would curl downwards (sure gona look funny like tat! hhaax..) when the roots are not strong enough to withstand the weight...

[edit: added on 5 Nov]
4. Additional personal comments - Curled lashes without mascara
My say: I would usually curl my bare lashes during working days even though I don't apply any mascara. Reason being that I wanted my eyes to look a little more brighter with the lashes up. Before I use Talika Lipocils Expert, I had difficulty keeping my lashes stay curled for an hour. But now, the lashes stay curled up for whole day! I checked the mirror during toilet breaks and realise they are still curled after 8 hours without mascara! Great isn't it?!?!! =D

5. Additional personal comments - Lashes fall out rate
My Say: I still experience lashes falling out during the lash treatment period. What awed me was, the lashes that fall out are those thick & long lashes! At a point, I was kind of scared that the treatment made the lashes dropped. But after a month of treatment, I reckon the fall out rate is common just like last time. Before I even use any lash treatment products, my lashes falls out quite often. Probably due to curling my lashes too much & too vigorously as well, and even on my working days where I didn't put any mascara.
After having read that eyebrow and eyelash are on fast cycle but slower growth rate than the hair, I am much convinced that the no. of lashes I lost are pretty normal. Even with the fall outs, i still find my lashes becoming denser, longer & thicker so the problem no longer worries me.

Product Review: KissMe Heroine & Fasio Hyper Stay Mascara ~ Rohto Arctic Eye Drops

Today, I'm gonna do things that concern with eyessss..... Yah, and you probably might freak out looking at my scary blood shot eyessssss..
I can SHOOT blood from these eyes I tell you! (◈_◈) phtzzzzzzzzz~~~~ splat~ splat~~ splaaaahhhhttt~~~

Review: KissMe Heroine & Fasio Hyper Stay Mascara

Here, I tried on my recent hauled product KissMe Heroine Make long & curl Mascara on my left eyelash. (which is = your right)
And Fasio Hyper-stay Mascara (Magne-plus Curl Long) on my right eyelash. (= your left)

FYI: My lashes are very little, very thin, moderate length, sparse and uh... very thin.

1st pic: Lashes without any primer/clear mascara, curled using Shiseido lash curler. Look as if I got no lash there! =_="
2nd & 3rd pic:
1 coat of mascara. I applied by stroking in upwards motion, zigzap at the roots, then stroke downwards, and lastly upwards again.
4th pic:
2nd coat of mascara for both eyes using same method as above.

Comparison of the 2 mascaras:
I prefer KissMe Heroine's (credits:http://kimoko.livejournal.com) applicator (brush head). The bristles are wonderful to work with! I find the bristles are so fine, they get in between every lashes (i know i got like 7, 8, hm.. uh.. 9 lashes only!) and minimum clumps found!
From the pic, I see both mascaras lengthed very well with just 1 coat.
On the 2nd coat, my Fasio side starts to clump at the roots and the content already stained my lids, while Heroine's side didn't stain or clump that badly.
However, both did make my lashes a little bit more thicker.

Conclusion:
I prefer KissMe Heroine Mascara now as I just simply love the applicator, how easy it is to apply the brush to my lashes without staining my lids. I also love how easy it gets around my lashes at the inner & outer corner of my eyes. Those places are super hard to reach. If you can see carefully, the fasio side has a few untouched lashes (about 2 strands?) at the inner corner. Its rather hard for the applicator to reach there so I usually just leave it.

Sorry that I could not do this test on the lower lashes because I have zero little of it!

Review: ROHTO ARCTIC EYE DROPS

2 weeks ago, I received a parcel and I'm so excited! Cos this parcel is a saviour for my blood shot eyes!
You may wish to read about my previous review of  Rohto COOL Eye Drops. I got this product from the same Ebay seller!

I bought a 3 in a pack ARCTIC Eye Drops and 1 ICE eye drops

The Eye drops are like triple sealed with plastic, box and plastic again. I never felt THIS secure buying something online before. ^___^
(If you buy 3 in a pack, you'll be removing plastic, plastic, box, plastic... So much to remove!)

Silver cap is so pretty! The bottle design is simple and yet so cute!

Here comes my red red eyes...
The following pic shows a before and after use. And NO! I didn't photoshop the white areas! It IS like that!
Infact I am as amazed as you are when I open up the 2 pics and compare them together in photoshop. OMG its like WATTT??? My eyes looked like as if I've photoshoped it! I can't believe it myself either! In real life, I don't really see the difference much but in photos its a big diff!

FYI: I use this product right after my mascara test (above). You can see my eyes are all red in the mascara review pic... =\

When I first use Rohto Arctic Eye Drop, I thought it would be like COOL eye drop, but not. ARCTIC feels so much like water gel, its viscosity (wah chim word, though i've learnt it in secondary before -_-") is greater than that of COOL drops.
My eyes had already gotten used to COOL drops meaning that my eyes are immuned from the icey feeling of the liquid.
But when I use ARCTIC, my first feeling is just like my very first time using COOL! (know what I'm saying? hahax..)
I HAD to close my eyes to keep the liquid in, if I open them there is this super icey feel (PSSsssss..) on my eyeballs.
I blink many times to get use of that icey feel and when I finally can open to look, my eyes are VERY RED. This is common, I had the same thing happened for COOL drops too. After awhile, the redness will subside.
Realise how my water line turns from red to pink too? That clearly shows the product DID relief the redness of my eyes, plus the inner skin around it...

Product test: Left Eye (PS done to the area outside my eyeballs and red veins sharpened for clearer view)
1st pic: Before using Rohto
2nd pic: 2 drops of Rohto, after half a minute or so
3rd pic: After 1 minute ~ 3 minutes

Product test: Right Eye (PS done to the area outside my eyeballs and red veins sharpened for clearer view)
1st pic: Before using Rohto
2nd pic: 2 drops of Rohto, after half a minute or so
3rd pic: After 1 minute ~ 3 minutes

Conclusion:
So what's the difference between COOL and ARCTIC?
For me, both works fine. Its only that I feel I had to 'upgrade' to using ARCTIC cos my eyes are starting to get immuned from COOL. That's reason why I also bought ICE, as I would want to know what would it be like if I use ICE in compare to ARCTIC.
But right now, I'm still fine with ARCTIC. Till the day my eyes are really irritated really red.. I might open up ICE (from the fridge)
Oh, and I realised that by using ARCTIC, makes my eyes look more blue-ish. Do you guys think so too?

Thanks for reading this long long review~!

PS: Words that are strike off, are untrue.

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

Product Review: Rohto Cool Eye Drops

I had not long ago came across Rohto Eye Drops (just a month back only). Immediately, I was attracted to one of the range: ROHTO COOL (Redness Relief) which was also used by Michelle Phan.
You can see her vid in the Rohto site too: http://www.myrohto.com

I've seen raves and reviews and saying how good it was, I was so willing to try it! I'd looked over the internet to find a local source or spree but most of them are only taking in the Japan version of Rohto eye drops, currently popular one is the Lychee (so the eyedrop will taste like lychee? ^_^")

But I'm only interested in US version, so I intend to go to buy it from Ebay.

I bought from this Ebay seller: http://myworld.ebay.com.sg/sokopovo/
He was selling the Rohto eye drop in a pack of 3s, which I think is more worth to get it. (Actual LINK)
Price is US$16.90 for 3packs, shipping to Singapore was $6.99 (however no tracking), total convert to SGD was $34.14.
After calculation, each pack is about SGD$11.38. Not bad eh~

After 2 weeks+, the parcel's here! The eyedrop is rather big comparing to the usual eyedrops i always use. And looks cute there too!
There is expiry date is written at bottom of box.

Here comes MY RED EYES! Girls, Don't faint yah...  ^_^""
I'm one person whose eyes are red & yellow all the time. All these caused by sleeping at odd hours, not enough sleep, straining the eyes, seeing too much monitors, stressed from work, fatigue, etc. My eyes are 1 of the most sensitive area, I often tear even without makeup on. And I feel my eyes are always dry regardless how much eye drops I use.
My eyes are such a troublesome thing to take care, sometimes I just WISHED I could dig out my eyes and wash it under a running tap. OUCH, Ssss...

When I first use Rohto Cool Eye Drop, the first drop to my eye was kinda like an ice wrapped with 2 layers of cloth put onto my bare eyeball.
The feeling isn't as icy as I thought it would be, and I don't feel uncomfortable. If I keep my eyes closed, it feels Ok. If I open my eyes, it will feel a little icy but bearable.

Product test: Right Eye (No Photoshop was done to the eyeballs & red veins, I only PSed the area outside my eyeballs)
1st pic: Before using Rohto
2nd pic: 2 drops of Rohto, after half a minute
3rd pic: After 1 minute +
Effect, Wow! Although not up to my expectation (I expected ALL the red will go away), nonetheless its still good enough.

Product test: Left Eye (No PS was done to the eyeballs & red veins, I only PSed the area outside my eyeballs)
1st pic: Before using Rohto
2nd pic: 2 drops of Rohto, after half a minute
3rd pic: After 1 minute +
My left eye was alot redder than my right eye at that moment, hence I think rohto only works best for normal non-frequent red eye cases. Frequent/permanent red eyed person will find the result not that great as they think. (Like my case)

Product test: Both eyes after using Rohto (I PSed the red veins to be sharper and more viewable)
Usually my red veins will appear more in the inner corner of eye (near nose part) than the outer corner.
Rohto indeed relief alot of my redness however, my eyeball still look yellowish at some places. Yellow eyeballs usually are caused by fatigue and not enough sleep (for my case). Red eyes are caused by dryness and discomfort (for my case too).

Note: Rohto Cool Eye Drop is only to be used on your eyes, Not with your contact lens on.
I use it every start of the day, 2 drops, before my skincare routine, and for about half a day later my eyes will slowly turn alittle bit reddish again. But to compare a day without Rohto, it is definitely ALOT better with Rohto!

Rohto C Cube Eye Drops: For contact lens wearers
I bought it from Gaurdian for about $7 or so. Does not relief redness, its just a moisturiser for dry eyes/lens.

I hoped this review of my SCARY EYEBALLS & ROHTO does not make you all faint! (^______^;)
