Last year December, I bought Vivi magazine from a neighbourhood mama shop and guess what... Its in ENGLISH!!!
Well, i didn't know Vivi has it in English until my friend Sel told me about it and said that the price is so much lower than the Jap Vivi mag so I went to get the December copy as it was the latest copy for the English version.
Usually I prefer the Jap version over the Taiwan one because the jap version is thicker (in pages) and has so many nice pictures & ads of their latest fashion, cosmetics stuffs. This time I just tot maybe I should give the English one a try! ^_^

How the content page looks like in English..
Apparently Vivi mag (eng) is from Malaysia, it was translated and published in Malaysia KL and some of the products mentioned in it are in Ringgit. Those that are not sold in Malaysia, they will still mention the price in Japanese Yen.

 

This, i believe is the Malaysia Vivi Star search. Not bad! Personally i still feel that, to be japish enough, they need to work more on their hair and clothes... Sometimes I just feel.. why must all models wear simple tops when they have their portrait taken, can't they be abit more creative? Cos its VIVI you are talking about, not any other local mags.. (Think harajuku) Perhaps I just dislike things that are too plain to my eyes... lolx~

Vivi mag doesn't have many pages on cosmetics and makeup, but more on fashion.. so here I just show 1 page for the purpose of showing k.. hehex~ I buy Vivi is for the fashion. I think vivi usually show fashion 80% and cosmetic 20%. ^_^

Look at the super fine prints.. most of them still state in Yen.

When I was in KL, a friend was looking for a leg slimming stockings (she preferred the panty hose type one) and mentioned that it works for her. I didn't use it before (cos u know why huh.. <_< my legs are.... skinny) so I just put this up as this was advertised in the Vivi mag under the leg beautifying techniques. I know Watsons and Sasa sell Leg slimming stockings too but I don't know if its the same brand as this?

This skirt is actually exactly the same as the one featured in Vivi Mag (eng) too!! Under the NEON FLOWER theme.
I really love it when I first saw it on ZALORA and what's even best... it is on SALES!!! If you want them, be quick! They only left 1-2 pcs for each size only!
Its said that this skirt is designed to fade to give a vintage inspired look. But they also give an option of minimizing the fading by washing it in cold water and not to tumble dry it.

I also got a Black-white stripe skirt which is pretty unique, its front is shorter than the back (this pic I shown the wrong side-back side ^_^" hahax~). Its actually not the same piece as the one in Vivi mag, i just show the mag as a reference. ^^
Black-white stripes are never out of fashion! So I think this piece can last me as long as I can still wear it lolx~

I think after reading this mag, I still prefer to get the Jap version! Because I feel I can get to know ALOT more on what's new in their fashion category and cosmetic launch in Japan. I like reading Jap ads actually! That's why I don't mind having to pay more to see more Jap ads on Vivi mag. Whahax~ (silly girl!)

I hadn't been blogging since last year (lolx). For past 2 months+ I was very busy with work, going out on my off days and preparing my cosplay stuff (More like resting when I have some spare time as I'm just too tired! lolx~).

Anyhoo, hereby presenting my cosplay, me as 藤乐乐 [Teng Le Le] from 独领风骚 [THE ONE], taken by Data.  This is like my.... 3rd time cosplaying the same character? ^^" I never get bored of doing it cos its considered the least troublesome costume among the rest. And its my first time cosplaying outside of Singapore! Hence I'm very excited about it! XD~

We only experienced once which the power tripped in the morning and we have to brush teeth in the dark toilet even though its morning lolx~ Cos everyday in KL was cloudy~

For the past 2 months and July, I spent quite alot on Fashion stuffs and I got many unread magazines! Finally, today I opened up all of them to 'scan' the pages.. *Phew*~ I hope my efforts will be appreciated much~ ^^

LovelySpree Haul RANT
I just want to do a short review of the clothes I bought from LovelySpree.
One fine day, I came across their Facebook and I started browsing their site. Then realise that many bloggers bought clothes from them and reviewed saying the stuffs they bought are wonderful. Hence, I think no further and proceed to ordered 3 clothes and 1 belt.

Pink Mint Imiusa blouse $20.90

Total $66.90 spendings with shipping.
When the parcel came and I opened it up. I was SUPER AWED to see that the clothes look SHO AWFUL! I haven't even tried but already know they will look awful is because of the material/fabric used to make these clothings!
I pasted the original pics compare to the clothes I received below. Some of you who can't make out the exact material used just by looking at my pics, would probably think that its almost identical to the advertised item. Yes, the design look similar but the Materials are just..... YUCKS!
I tried the clothes, and find that Angelic cowgirl chiffon dress is made of a rough chiffon (Can even see that the material is not as flowy as the original and crumples easily) plus I couldn't even squeeze through the chestline when wearing it. I managed to get through finally but the dress look alittle akward. The cutting isn't the same as the original. MAYBE I will wear this again when I'm in the mood.
For Camel Halter, the material weren't as what I had expected but it is still consider fine. At least the best among the 3 clothes I bought. However the fabric sheds little residues. The fabric is somewhat like suede and I reckon this cannot be put into washing machine or otherwise it will shed like crazy!
ONE thing that I do not want to even TALK about it is the Pink Mint Imiusa blouse. JUST LOOK at the 2 Comparison photos! THEY ARE NOT THE SAME! The material is so rough and paper-like, totally not flowy at all. The moment I took it out from the wrapping, I immediately relate it to AUNTIE. I shall pass this on to any AUNTIE to wear. SO NOT GOING TO WEAR THIS! And this cost freaking $20+ where I can get this like $5 from some market.
And lastly, the belt. I can buy this from stores at 2 for $5. WASTE MY MONEY buying it, the material is too soft, doesn't feel like its a belt even!
I shall not shop there again. Perhaps for others who love their clothings are the lucky ones who bought the nice clothes or their taste is bad. I'll say that I RATHER spend my $66.90 in GMarket and get 5 times better quality products from them!!! PFFT! You may think what all these fuss about, and I only spent $66.90? Well, I like buying cheap stuffs online and I'm prepare to take risks, usually 1 item of all would be bad but others are all good. But for this, its ALLLLL BAAAAD... I compared with FaireBelle, THEIR stuffs are so much better than LOVELYSPREE, and the prices are similar too!
I actually even tried to apply for writing a review on lovelyspree items, hoping they'll send me something. Now, I just dun wana talk abt them anymore. So much for all the nice reviews. Hmph. =^=

雨女 or あめ　おんあ　or ame onna (literally - Rain girl) is the term given to a person who seems to always bring the rain with her when a picnic or outdoor celebration is planned.
I personally am very fond of clothings and boots designed just for Rainy days. I wonder why the hell my granny didn't buy any cute rain boots for me to wear to school, but instead tied 2 market plastic bags OVER my school shoes and ask me to walk to school, surprising all my classmates with my super dry shoes regardless of the heavy downpour before. ^_^" Wat a funny culture Singapore has!
This my first time seeing someone wearing geek specs with Kimono! But still sho cute! ^_^ Talking about Kimono, we thought of Natsu Matsuri.
This year there will be one happening on 20 August at Japanese Primary School (Changi). Its fun! And super packed too every year! However this year's Natsu clashes with STGCC (Cosplay event) so I reckon many cosplayers will skip Natsu. If you like Japanese culture too just like me, you MUST visit Natsu Matsuri! It will be an eye opening event for you if its your first time! ^_^ BTW, my friend Selphie is performing AKB48's dance. Do watch out for this performance if you are there! =3

Just to explain why the theme 'Ah-Lian'. My friend and I went into Watsons passing by 2 BAs (older age than us) and one of them went something like "Aiyah, just some AH-LIANs LAH!" Saying it out loud just when we walked past them. Reason why probably both of our hair are blonde (mine blonde yellow, my friend's blonde ash)
As usual, I don't pick up fights or arguements with strangers, so I just kept quiet. Seriously thinking those people who give names about others, are meaning to say that they are one themselves. So we got 2 Old ladies who wants to be Ah-lians themselves (But cant) in Ngee Ann city Watsons, jealous of our hair and our dress-up?... kekex.. Watever it is, I dun really care. As long as I like the way I style myself will do ^^

Lastly, my mimi to end the post. ^_^ I did this to him cos I saw a video of a cat's head popping out from a jacket sleeve, its sho cute!! >o<

Neh~~~ The left one is a parcel from GMarket, yap new clothes alright ^^. Where...the right one, is sent from Myself to Myself!! Lolx! Apparently my luggage bag is too heavy, I exceeded by about 8kg, so Airmail-ed my clothings and shoes from HK! It took exactly 5 days to reach my home (inclusive of weekends). Fast isn't it? ^^ But it cost me SGD$38 to send them. OTL|||| Luckily I didn't listen to the post office guy to use Speedpost! He keep psychoing me to send speedpost and I said NO, like 3 times. -.-

Review: This parcel came Super fast. The jeans are tight fitting and fits really well, meaning that their measurements given are very true. I bought 2 jeans with 2 diff sizes as their measurements written there were different for each individual jeans. I choose according to my body dimensions.
Design is very nice except that the color is abit off from their pics.
The pink look darker in actual and the light greenish-blue jeans turn out to be washed out grey-blue-greenish... Not really as nice color as shown in their pics. However, the overall is still great. All their pants are really very long, suitable for my height. ^_^ Lastly, I duno why, but their jeans smells good. ^_^ Smells like as if they are already washed! Unlike those new clothes taken out from the store where they have a strong stench of wood/plastic/unwash or worst, cockroach smell..
***Big thighs ladies, do beware as it seems that their supa tight fit jeans has a narrower thigh measurements! =3

Sometime last month, I came upon a page in Vivi Oct magazine where Hitoshi (Japanese MUA) teaches how to do a simple look with just eyeliner and red lipstick on model Mitsuki. I am very drawn to the eye look so i gave it a try!

My Trial:
The look is so simple that I took HALF AN HOUR to draw 2 liners!!!! @!*&%_(_*!@xyz#&!!!!!
As you can see on my right eye, i kinda made a mistake, rubbed it off and drew again hence the stain.. My left eye makeup look alittle better.
I later compared my look with the magazine and found that I kinda drew it too inwards. The liner most inner point should start at about 1/3 from the outer corner of your eyes (making sense here?). But I started my liner from the middle of my eye, which I ended up with a rather 'fat' triangular shape liner.

I also found out that my left and right liners are not balance when I open my eyes. My left one is so much droopier than the right. I guess it really takes alot of practice to make both liners balance. In the first place my eyes are already not balanced to start with, so it makes it more difficult to draw 2 perfect balanced triangular eyeliners. =_="" Pffft.

Just a few days ago, I was watching 2NE1's latest MV "It Hurts (아파)" and something caught my eyes. YES! Its Sandara's eye makeup! SAME triangular liner look!
I screencap it and compared her liner to the ones i drew and the magazine's. And then compared her left to her right eyeliner.
Humans are born with imbalanced eyes/eyelids.. and so is Sandara. XD kekekex..
Look at her liners, the right eyeliner (her right eye) is drawn higher and straighter than her left eye. And her eyebrow is imbalance too! SOOOooo, I'm not alone! Yeah!~

My colleagues and I went to United Square for dinner buffet and after which, we saw UFO catchers in the mall 1st level.
One look, I was attacted to THESE BIG ROUND EYES... NEKO! (Cat in jap) I want i want i want! >,< I spent $2 trying to UFO catch it but I phailed.
Then proceed to the round one where my colleagues are playing it which its base will rotate like this kind. First scoop and I caught alot of candies & mini plushies and out it dropped 3 mini plushies!!! YEAH YEAH! All of us jumped and shriek like little kids! LOLx!~ (Think about it, its a bunch of aunty uncles jumping. XD~) But none of the plushies were Neko. =( I spent another $10 trying to get the neko but phailed again.
When we about to leave, i saw the salesgirl opening up that machine and my reflex was, turn around and said "Can i swap these 3 plushies with that cat one?" *points*
And so... thats the story for the birth of NYANPIRE!! XD~

Bag Hauls
Some might know this brand, its PiGi (aka PG), a Taiwan brand. Some bags were made in Taiwan and some in China. I had already own a few PG bags before this, had experienced things like torn linings and clips spoilt after prolong usage (the metal parts on the sholder straps). Its rather common for bags that only cost about $10~$20 each. So I don't complain about it, infact continue using it till it's totally out of shape. =p

GMarket Buys
I always wanted high thigh school socks like this: &
However I couldn't get the same design or that the socks are all under knee length.
Then I found these socks at Gmarket and I quite like the simple 3 stripes design, so I grabbed it. Each pair cost about $6.

Grey with Black stripes & Dark Brown with Off-white stripes Cotton Overknee Socks: Brown one's shorter than the grey, but I can stretch them to the maximum and it'll stay above my knee. Recommended those who have slim legs, as the cotton is not very elastic in horizontally wise.

MITJU SHOESSsss Haulssss
This is my first time in my life buying 7 pairs of shoes in 1 GO!!!
On 23rd Oct, there is a Mitju Warehouse Sales @ 136 Joo Seng Road (TaiSeng MRT). I suppose to go down at 10am as I have the VIP access and could bring along a friend. I ended up reaching there very late, going in at 11.59am ^_^" And na also late.. hahax~ (Wat's the point of getting the VIP access then?! *slaps own forehead*)
Anyhoo, the place is sooooo cramp at around 1pm already. Na didn't went in with me as the queue is super duper long outside, but I need not Q as i got access remember? =p
So, i grab grab grab grab!! Apparently I couldn't find much shoes that are covered toes and has heels. Mostly are covered flat shoes or open toes heels. =\
[edit] Forgot to put up the price: All shoes are going @ $18/pair and $12/pair (Get 2 for $20)! And each bag is only $18! I spent $106 in total! ^_^ [/edit]

Sorry my legs and feet are not presentable looking.. I've got permanent scars all around and blue-green visible veins.. I'm lazy to PS the pics, so do bare with it! >_<

You can see Anna looking all glam in those clothes which I bought, but when I'm in it, I make those clothes look like its for MEN. (See..? There? Flat.)
Wanting to achieve the aristocrat style for the centre blouse piece, but phailed terribly. The blouse is so so translucent! O_O

Vivi Oct (in Taiwanese) : $9 from PAGEONE @ Vivocity. Realised its cheaper than Kino's mag
Vivi Nov (Original Jap): $19.30 from Kino. Its my first time ever buying Vivi that gives free Gift!! Its a hand pouch from Snidel! ♥
I prefer to buy the Jap version, it was almost 2 times thicker than the Taiwanese mag! And the japanese has moreinteresting fashion advertisement to see.

Some girls like a particular thing among the whole bunch of makeup stuffs like particularly eyeshadows, or lipsticks..and what not. While I, like to buy fashion related stuffs like: SHOES, HOSIERY & HEAD ACCESSORY (Hats/Hairbands)
Check out the Nov Mag scans of the shoes, hosiery and hats for Autumn-Winter!

I realised the ankle boots designs are rather similar with last year autumn's. I've apparently gotten one pair that look like the ones in this mag. I think I'd invested in the right one that may not go out of fashion for at least a few years. =D
The straw hats are still in~ Light to dull brown colours are always the safest to get!
