OOTD & LOTD: CNY Day 3 (feat. Promod, Mary Kay Hollywood Mystique)

Day 3 of Chinese New Year and so I decided to wear my newly bought floral jeans which I got at Promod!
I didn't went shopping for the New Year on purpose, I just so happen to walk past Promod's window display at Paragon and the faded floral prints attracted me immediately upon one glance. Then I make a quick left turn to go in and look for it. It was actually their Floral Jacket which attracted me first. But it didn't look good on me so I went around to look for others that have the same prints and I spotted the trousers. As I know that Promod's bottoms are pretty long, long enough for my never-ending legs (lolx~) so I decide to give it a try! One try and I purchased it. (^∇^)v~ It cost SGD$79.90. $$$ flies~
Here's a pic of the Floral Jeans taken with my Canon cam. The colours a little off from original as this was taken at night with flashlight.
This is actually one of Promod Spring 2013 Collection. Spot the same item that the model is wearing HERE. (Image from Promod Website)
Close-up view of the faded floral prints. The base colour is grey (like this) but I kinda look like greenish grey here, maybe because of the dim lighting in my room.

Denim x Jeans OOTD
Denim Jacket with Stars studs - KL, Sungei Wang Plaza
White Lace Spag Inner - Uniqlo
Faded Floral Print Narrow-leg trousers - Promod
Brown Suede Tie-up Ankle Boots - KL, Sungei Wang Plaza

Mary Kay Hollywood Mystique LOTD & Review
Next up, my LOTD using these 2 for my point makeup. See swatches of them in HERE

Using Mary Kay Hollywood Mystique Eye Intrigue Color Quad on my eyelids.
Basically I used all 4 shades by applying the lightest shade over my whole eye lid til the crease.
Then 2nd lightest over the eyelid too but end it at below the crease, and then 2nd darkest shade above my lash line. And lastly the darkest shade I lined it along my upper lash line and the outer corners of my bottom lash line. The colour payoff isn't that intense but its still strong enough to be noticed on my medium fair skin tone, especially the light yellowish gold shade.
The rest of the eye makeup I used the same technique as of the look I did on CNY Day 2 (see HERE)

The full eye makeup look using the following:
Primer: NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
Eyeliner: Bonavoce Premium Liquid Eyeliner in Black (Read my Review)
Waterline Eyeliner: Majolica Majorca  Jeweling Pencil in 71 (pinkish silvery colour)
Mascara: L'Oreal Paris Curl Impact Collagene Curl-Fixing Volume Mascara Waterproof
For the Mary Kay Eye Intrigue Color Quad, the eye shadows are semi-matte (or can say semi-satin too) with very little mica (glitter) in it. It is quite powdery and it is not very intense. The colour intensity is buildable but has a limit to it when using a brush to do so. I don't see any fall outs of the pigments under my eyes. I find that the colours compliments my skin tone and also my hair! ^,^
The colours are warm so it definitely works out for any warm skin tone people~
Due to its shade and texture, I find it also good to be used as a blush. You can view my swatch HERE when I blend all 4 shades together.
This palette could work as my everyday neutral eyeshadows.

For my lips, I used Mary Kay Bold Shine Lip Color in Poised Pink.
The Bold Shine Lip Color is an opaque pale pink shade (not those that are too pale) with a little bit of gloss. It can conceal my pigmented lips about 70%. To fully conceal pigmented lips, I normally require to use more than 1 lip product, such as a lip liner + lipstick/lip color or, lipstick + lip gloss.
In this case, I used a pinkish nude lip liner to shade the lips and applied Bold Shine Lip Color on top of it. The lip color acts as both a lip color and a light lip gloss.
It has tiny shimmers in it which also helps to make the lips look 3D and its texture is thick & creamy but not sticky. As the shade is a pale pink, it doesn't look flattering on me when used alone, so I often pair this up with either a lip liner, lip gloss or even a lipstick.

Oh yah I almost forgot to mention that I also used the following for face makeup: Face Primer/ Makeup Base: Stila one step correct primer
Concealer: Orange shade from MUFE 5 Camouflage Palette Cream (Concealer Palette No 5)
+ Lavshuca Finish Powder High Cover
Blush: Illamasqua Powder Blush in Unrequited
Most of the time I'm plain lazy listing out all the things I used on my face, I just zoom into the point makeup only. But I duno why this time I wana do that.. hahax~

And yeah, that's all for my OOTD & LOTD!~

*PEEKS* Happy Lunar New Year & Happy Valentine's Day!!!~~ (⌒ω⌒)

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

OOTD & LOTD: CNY Day 2 ~ (feat. MUFE TechniColor)

On Chinese New Year Day 2, my OOTD theme was "Primary colours". And I had 50% white on me as well. ^_^
Red, Blue, Yellow OOTD
White-Navy Open shoulder blouse - Korea (Qoo10)
Abstract cotton mini skirt - Korea (Qoo10)
Vivienne Westwood Red skull wings+yellow stripes panty hose - Japan
Suede Fringe Platform Shoes - Overseas
Below pic which I posted in Instagram~ Mimi photobombing at the back~ ^_^

Primary + Secondary Colours  LOTD
Using shades from MUFE TechniColour Palette. (Read more on MUFE TechniColor Launch)
Shades are Jaune (Yellow), 91 (Apple Green), 72 (Turquoise)
Primer: NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
Eyeliner: Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
White Eyeliner: Majolica Majorca  Jeweling Pencil in 71 (pinkish silvery colour)
Mascara: L'Oreal Paris Curl Impact Collagene Curl-Fixing Volume Mascara Waterproof

How I apply my TechniColor Look
Using Jaune (Yellow) to apply the whole eye lid stopping at the crease or below the brow bone area, then carefully apply Apple Green on the outer corners of my eye lids a little at a time. Blend the green hard lines.
I also applied Apple Green on outer half of the lower lashline to make my eyes look complete. Then I lined Turquoise along the upper lashline. (Can see a thin line of turquoise above the black eyeliner.)
I used Majolica Majorca Jeweling Pencil eyeliner on the inner half of my waterline to brighten up my eyes.
As usual, my skills in eye contouring is still amateur. (⌐⌂⌐") Least this time round, both outer corners are equally round.
Anyhoo, I used all shades from MUFE Technicolor palette and it blends way better (even with my not-so-good skills) than using Sleek on MUFE eye shadows (Click HERE to know why I say so).
Though the green appear slightly unbalanced on my lids, but there weren't any hard lines.

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

LOTD & OOTD: LUNA SEA Concert ~ Hair Colour Adventure ~ Reviews (feat. MUFE, L'Oreal, Goldwell)

Heyyyyy alll~ Today I'm going to talk about my experience on my first ever Jrock concert, LUNA SEA The End of the Dream Asia Tour 2013, which happened past Friday! ^_^
First up is my LOTD~ All ready to go for the Rockin'! ~\m/(^_,^)\m/~

My Hair Colour Adventure
Before I continue... I just wana show something I did on the eve of the Jrock concert.
Well, besides planning what to wear for the concert... I re-dyed my hair. With all the salons fully booked or closed for the Chinese New Year season, I decided to attempt DIY Hair dye at home to bring the orange back to life!
My orange hair basically had faded till almost ashy orange? light peach? some said amber.. well I duno what to call it, just see it for yourself.. ^_^"
Gahhhhhhhh... The ends are almost grey!

And so, I bought this Berina Hair Color Cream in A19 Golden Orange at IvyCosmetics only for $9.90 (90cents discount=$9) just because.... its named Golden Orange, the colour that I want. hahax~
This hair dye is made in Thailand. There are no gloves, instructions manual slips, capes, hair conditioner/mask.. nothing.
*Note the exp date is May 2013!!! I only realised it after I used it. =_="

Except for these 2 cream & 9%..... Bleach i guess?

Forgetting that my hair had already gone through bleaching, I went on squeezing all the contents from the tube and bottle into this Tau Huey Bowl. So who wants some tau huey?? Yum~~~

Berina Hair Color Cream Review
Even though the dye has bleach in it, I don't smell or feel any 'bleaching' on my scalp. But when I wash off the dye, my hair feels dry or I should say, drier than before I dyed it. So did the bleach make my hair dry? If so, then why is my roots still kinda black? hmmm...
When washing, the 'red' dye got washed out very fast... or maybe my hair is short? The red dye didn't bleed anymore after about 5 mins of rinsing.

My hair taken on the next day looks like this in my Iphone. I love the waves~~~ Looks super smooth yah? Lolx~

L'Oreal Paris EverStrong Deep Replenishing Masque Review
For these few days, I been washing my hair with several different shampoos depending on my scalp condition. I don't wash depending on my hair condition because scalp to me is more important and if it gets really oily, it will affect my mood and of course, my hair style too (which inturn will also affect my mood if I have bad hair day. lolx~)
I have been using L'Oreal Paris EverStrong Deep Replenishing Masque religiously almost every 2 days for my hair ends. It helps in hydrating my dry hair ends without making it feel oily, sleek (I don't like hair to be sleek), flat and most importantly, it doesn't cause itchiness to my scalp or worst, by making my scalp oily too. I know we don't apply hair mask on the scalp or near it, but with my short hair it is inevitable. The mask will definitely get to my scalp one way or another when I run it through my hair with my fingers.

The texture of the masque looks like this:

After masking, I will apply conditioner. (Just like face, you need a serum and a moisturiser. Hair works like this too) With my new warm orange hair, I definitely need a conditioner that can keep its colour and radiance. I dug into my stash of hair products and found Goldwell ColorGlow Deep Reflects Conditioner (Warm Brown) which I received quite sometime back (last year) from them.
Warm Brown... for Warm Golden Orange hair... that would work yah? Hhahax~
For the past few days, my hair colour maintained pretty well without any bleeding at all during hair wash. So I suppose this hair conditioner did helped alot. It also helped in smoothing my hair texture especially the ends. But it felt slightly oily, so I applied only a little bit, unlike the hair mask.

Anyhoo, after 4 days, my hair looks like this.
(Left pic: Under indoor white spot light. Right pic: Under natural sunlight)
At least the orange is still bright & obvious and the ends didn't fade to blonde/ grey. I'm not sure if it will continue to fade after that.. I shall monitor it and update on Instagram if it does.

Alright, now back to my LOTD!~
I only used 2 purple shades for this look. Continue to read to learn what I used on my eyes~

Don't be blaffed by the neon shade here, it only appear super purple because of the lighting... and I'm using the front cam of my Iphone. ^_^" Later in this post, you will get to see more of my LOTD~

OOTD: Rock on!!!
I was debating whether to wear this denim vest or not... Posted this on instagram, twitter & FB and everyone who replied said 'wear it'!
And so I did!~
Oh, my purple eyes matches the web/fishnet tights. Thanks to Jerlaine for reminding me to wear PRETTY leggies, and so she kinda reminded me that I have these for a long time but haven't got chance to wear them. Super happy that I can put them on now~ Btw its actually a gift from Na. ^_^

Posted this on my Instagram

LUNA SEA The End of the Dream Asia Tour 2013
Gotta thank these people for bringing cameras and offering to take pics with me otherwise, I won't have any pics of me at the event. hahhax~
Here's me, Xinyi, Kiyora and Kiyora's friend. Credits to xinyi's camera and her bf, Jon.
I'm like a big giant beside them.... (<_<")

And thanks to Kai too for taking pic with me~ Why i look so upset? Cos my hair got centre parting?
I like her tattoo stockings! Just realised we both wear denim outers. hahax~

And finally inside the concert hall!! I think its fate that my Jrock 'old' friends (not old as in age..) came walking in infront of us. I literally just wave my hands into their face hahhax~

This is the one and only most beautiful picture I took using my iPhone... As can see, I'm at the upper deck. Alot of my friends are at the first level! I'm not a huge HUGE fan of LUNA SEA but I still love them especially Sugizo! ^_^ And I love Ryuichi's vocal~ It makes me tremble~~~
I must say that I enjoyed the concert alot more than a Kpop concert. I love both kinds of music but for me to enjoy it is to be able to see the artistes with my very own eyes and not through a camera screen. As much as I want to capture them in my phone too, I don't go through the hassle of recording the concert or snapping 323059592348 photos of them the whole time. If I really want to, 10 pics or 1 min video clip is more than enough.
From the upper deck, I can clearly spot less than 10% of the fans are holding their phones/camera up to take pics/videos of Luna Sea when they were performing. When it come to silence moments, there will be more than 30% of the fans holding their phones up. And when they start performing again, all phones are down.
Unlike Kpop concerts (or MAMA which I went to), its like more than 30% of the fans will hold their phones up throughout the concert. I cant even see who is dancing infront of me. All I could see are the artistes through someone else's phone/camera screen. I think Jrock fans truely know how to enjoy a concert, they jump, they shriek, they headbang to every song that Luna Sea plays. I love this kind of crowd... or perhaps, its because we are older? I think most Luna Sea fans are like age 25 and above? lolx~ So we kinda feel tired holding a phone up for too long.. (besides Sebas that is. Lolx~)

After the concert, old friends gathered at Bugis for steamboat x BBQ. No need to say where I am, you can spot me even from another building.

An instagram pic of me and Mimi after the concert~ His pupils sho big!

LOTD with MUFE & Sleek Palettes
Left: MUFE TechniColor palette
Right: Sleek Carribean palette

I headbanged, I sweat, I ate steamboat.. and my hair & face is like this...

Eye makeup featuring the 'Lilac' shade from MUFE TechniColor palette and 'Purple Haze' from Sleek Carribean palette.
I applied Lilac all over my eyelid and then used Purple haze at the crease and outer corner. I need to practice more on shading dark colours as I always have 1 rounded corner and 1 sharp corner. *sigh~*
Even though the purple doesn't look neon as it is in previous pic, it still looks strong and very obvious when I look at it in the mirror. It didn't fade or have any fall-outs either.
The MUFE Lilac colour-payoff is really great! When I apply it on my eyes, the colour is exactly how it looks like from the palette. You know when you use light shades, it often appear even lighter than the palette. Or most of the time I think it is until I met MUFE eye shadows. Gota ♥♥♥ them!
Sleek's Purple haze is also pigmented but I find it hard to blend it into MUFE Lilac. I can see obvious lines of the dark purple at my creases. PLUS, I lack the skill in doing such eye makeup properly, so the whole eyelid colour just look kinda uneven. I am sorry to have spoilt all of your eyes for looking at my ugly LOTD... ^__,^"""

To end this post with a CNY mood, I present you red flowers sold by JONES!
One JONES selling CNY decorations not enough, there must be another JONES selling flowers ah?

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

LOTD
Featuring Majolica Majorca The Little Humming Book 1 from Secret Blink Chapter 36
Here's a re-post of the images and swatches from the event blogpost.

Ahhhhh.. My sleepy face~~~ (^_,^) Heh heh heh.

Majolica Majorca The Little Humming Book 1 Review
I used the Moonless Night (dark plum shade) as Eyecream base by applying it with my ring finger on my eyelids. I dabbed it over my eyelids and stopping at the area around the creases.
I applied Flower Dust (white) eyeshadow over the whole eyelids, then applied Green Shower (mint) eyeshadow near the upper lashline and bottom lashline. At the inner bottom lashline area, I used a pearl eyeliner pencil to line it to make me eyes look brighter.
The pictures below shows my eye makeup AFTER wearing it for more than 6 hours.

During the application of the eye cream base, I felt that it was rather greasy and the base keep shifting around on my eyelids. At first I used a synthetic brush to apply but failed terribly so I switch to using fingers to dab on instead.
I am unable to even out the base, some areas look darker than the rest and there are some obvious outlines.
When I used the eyeshadows to layer on top of it, the eye cream base outlines seem to disappear as I slowly blend in the colours.
Though the final eye makeup appear quite decent, I still feel that the eye cream base makes my eyelids look oilier than usual. However to my surprise, there wasn't obvious creases at my double eyelid folds. Only a few short creases found at the inner corner of my eyes which are actually unnoticeable.

Both the eyeshadow shades are really pretty as they changes colour at different angles and lightings.
I will try using the eye shadows seperately the next time I use this palette again. And will try applying a eye primer before the eye cream base to test out if it works better that way.

For my lips, I used the Tulip Bed Lip Gloss from the palette. The gloss is slightly pigmented, it helps to conceal a little bit of my pigmented lips. Thereafter I apply a lipstick over it, it glides on smoothly on top of the lip gloss.
Sometimes I use lip gloss BEFORE a lipstick because I either 1) forgot to bring my lip balm..lolx~, 2) prefer not to have glossy & plump looking lips, or 3) lipstick doesn't glide on easily as it needs a little friction or a sticky base to work it.
I like how Tulip Bed colour appear on my lips, its a sweet pink, a little on the warm side.

Event: Beautiful Japan Denim at JRunway

On 18 Jan, I was invited to attend the Beautiful Japan Denim event, a Japan Denim Project in collaboration with LASALLE College of the Arts, showcasing the exquisite products from Kurashiki region in Japan of 10 well-established denim brands for the first time in Singapore. It was held at the JRunway flagship store. I'm always happy to attend JRunway events as I like to patron their store and had been doing so for the past few months since their opening. ^_^

Here's a pic I instagram when I was there:

Fashion Runway Show

At JRunway awaiting for the fashion show to start~

During the fashion show, besides getting my eyes glued to the hunks (uhhh-hum.) I also took a closer look at the details on all the designs, mostly the jeans and jackets. The buttons, pockets, up to the zips & seams were very nicely designed and sewn. I totally dig those jeans that the guys wore, they look so cool in them.

Here's the models dressed in denim apparels made by the 10 brands. I think my picture collage can serve as a 'How to dress in denims' reference book. Lolx~
*Note: I didn't post up all the pics I took as few of them were blur. Sorry for the semi-blur images. ▽ Click to enlarge images ▽

▲ I like that female dip dye blouse!

Beautiful Japan Denim Pop-up Showroom
After the event, we were also invited to view their pop-up showroom that was set up just a short distance away from the Plaza Singapura extension wing entrance

I totally love the pop-up showroom idea. It is fully air-conditioned (for spoilt singaporeans who hate hot weather, like me! Lolx~) and the afternoon sunlight shone through the glass windows making the interior look bright, yet cozy. Every product showcased inside this showroom appeared sharp and clear to my eyes and my camera lens.

Denim is a woven fabric that uses yarn like these.

They covered half of the floor with their denim fabric that look almost like my denim canvas shoes! haha~

commonplace half jeans sewn onto a denim fabric with their logo printed over in gold, such a beautiful artwork.

More jeans from SEAMS, on the racks & on the floor. Spot rainbow macarons in this pic. lolx~

Tie dye + distressed denim? So cool~

What I took from the pop-up showroom, lots of catalogues!

Among all, SEAMS catalogue stands out the most. They used their denim fabric to make a 'pocket', embroidered on one side and printed their logo on the other.

Ending this post with a OOTD: Denim Outfit ^_^
King Cat Grey Cropped Top
Semi-translucent Chiffon Black Sleeveless
Inner Cheap Monday Light Denim Jeans
Black Denim Canvas Shoes
All over were bought overseas... including my bag. hahahx~ ^_^"

Price range for the 10 brands

Guardian Haraju-Cute! Blogger Launch Event

Earlier this month, I attended the Haraju-Cute! Blogger launch event. It was a fun one as there were so many Japanese cult brand cosmetics for us to play with.
Here I have is my goodie bag with a drawing of me in manga style!! It was really nice of them to find a Japanese manga artist (who lives in Singapore) to draw our faces base on our real photos! First time ever someone address me as Min Joo Neul (korean nick used in my Facebook) instad of miwitch. =P

K5J Fragrance by KARA Showcase 2012 @ RWS

Last month, Ah ru invited me to go to K5J by KARA Showcase 2012 @ Grand Festive, Resort World Sentosa with her.
Since I'd been liking Kpop songs for few years now and listened to nearly every girl and boy band (more of boybands hahahax~) so I thought, why not?! (But I still prefer watching boyband concert wahahax~)
I had never been to a showcase before and I heard from Na that showcase is not a concert. So they probably not going to perform much songs and they would only focus on showcasing the fragrance which they are launching.

Below shows a screencap of K5J site, its really beautiful! Having them dressed in white gowns like brides or princesses as the background and the fragrance in the middle~ Sooooo dreamy!

KARA's first-ever signature fragrance: K5J (KARA 5 JEWEL)

Here's the actual product I took... More product pics shown later below! *SCROLL SCROLL*

Taken this at the Showcase! ^^ *PSss!* By right, i can't bring camera into Grand Festive. I got told off by the security so I quickly put back my cam. Opps!.. =p~

KARA came out dressed in their beautiful gown like costumes! SeungYeon was sick so she didn't appear in this showcase.. Awwww...

During the showcase, they only sang 2 songs.. and most of the time they talked about K5J, played video of how K5J comes about and inviting KARA fans to answer questions and do some moves on the stage. It was pretty funny when they came to the dancing part! =D
Overall, it was pretty entertaining! But I'm kinda disappointed KARA didn't sing any of my favourite songs like LUPIN or STEP UP or MISTER.
They did however played MISTER for their fans to dance to. ^^

Among the 5, I always liked Gyu Ri and Hara more than the rest. I'm judging just by their looks actually..hahahax~ Gyu Ri appears to look like the 'mature' & 'Sexy' one... and Hara the 'Princess' one. I also sometimes thinks that Hara looks very much like Namie Amuro!! Do you think so too?! =D

TADAH!!! Our K5Js!
At the showcase, we met up with Joyce Lim & Valerie! All 4 of us so blur that we didn't know there was this complimentary K5J tear-out coupon (attached to the seat ticket) and we were all super happy when they start giving K5J to everyone at the exit! Lolx~
Much thanks to Ah ru again for bringing me along if not I wont have the K5J! Hehehx! *muacks muacks*

And this is my punk OOTD for that day!
Spinns Pinkish peach back sheer top with skull head print - Spinns, Tokyo Japan
Black mini skirt - Qoo10 (GMarket)
Best Beauty Black holey pantyhose - Tokyo Japan
Brown-Black Suede Ankle Heels - Overseas
Spikes headband - Spinns, Tokyo Japan: I realised I forgotten to post this in my Japan loot?? Hmm.. It cost 1590円 ~S$25.90
Do i look like statue of liberty? (≥∇≤)
Bright orange bag - Overseas

K5J Product Packaging
I SUPER LOVE the box!! That rainbow glitter dots hologram!! How did they do that???! I wanted to print a coscard with hologram, anyone knows who can do so? (>,<) Or perhaps only UK have such kind of materials?? (⌐∆⌐")

The mini card that comes along also has rainbow glitters hologram!

At the back of the card, shows a code number for us to register the fragrance.

K5J is a 45ml Eau De Toilette. The jewel cap which appears to look like its made of acrylic and its main body is made of glass.
At first sniff, the scent is sweet but not too much that makes me think of candy. It also smells a little fruity and after it settles down for awhile, it kinda smells alittle towards woody and.. powdery? The powdery scent somehow lead to a floral scent.. this fragrance makes my nose confused. lolx~ Because the fragrance is a mixture of everything - fruits, flowers, wood.. thats why it smells like everything in a mix!
I like how K5J smells as its nothing too strong or too sweet. It however might take more than 2 sprays at each point you spray, to bring out the scent because it's rather light to the nose.

K5J website is selling K5J fragrance at USD$50

Alternatively, you can also purchase K5J at Zalora.sg @ SGD$58 with FREE shipping Islandwide! ^^
I recently received a Giftcard given by ZALORA which allows 10% discount for all items *terms & conditions apply*. If anyone would like to use this 10% coupon which is valid till 2012 August 15th, please key in this coupon code: ZREWARD5rqA. Only for ONE TIME use!! First come first serve! ^_^
Good luck yox!

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

Collective Fashion Haul ~ I.Fairy, PUMA, Pull & Bear, BYSI ~ OOTDs

Lenses Lenses Lenses!!
Even though I don't wear them very often, I still like buying them and stocking them up for occasions!
I.Fairy 2012 new designs are Cara and Casper & many more! Each cost about ~SGD$18 with shipping.

Here's what I got. ^^
I.Fairy Cara Green (left): I suppose Cara means something like Carat? Because of its sparkling diamond like print.
I.Fairy Casper Green (middle): Casper the friendly Ghost lens? lolx~ I would probably name this lens HIPPIES, because of its colours & batik like print.
I.Fairy Cara Brown (right): I think this is the nicest design and most prominent brown shade among all I.Fairy lenses!
