Daily Dressup Shots

While everyone is enjoying their Halloween night in gore makeup, ghostly costume and taking scary photos at Orchard, I, was sick & working, and I sat silently infront of my computer photoshopping my cosplay pics.... sigh~ What a quiet Halloween for me this year! ~_~"

2 months ago, I had a Solo photoshoot of my Sailor Pluto cosplay. I'd been thinking for quite sometime after last year Dec's Sailor team battle suit cosplay at AFA X to do a solo shoot because I think I always have badly taken photos and had to go through alot of processing inorder for it to look decent to the public eyes... ^_^" So, a solo photoshoot means I'll have more nice pics to keep as memory! =D
Anyways, this solo photoshoot turned out GREAT! Though I expected more like, taking at the rooftop, doing laying down, kneeing, sleeping poses.
But: 1) the rooftop door is locked because of that corpse in water tank issue. -_-" 2) It was drizzling ~_~""" 3) I was terribly slow in dressing up, only started shooting at around 7pm.
Nevertheless, I still end up with nice photos thanks to my beloved photographer friends, Juliana & Valefor. Not forgetting Jane & her hubby and finally Noshuu (my dear Sailor Jupiter) who lend me her tiara (green gem but I PSed to magenta) cos I forgotten where I put mine! Without all of them, this will not be a successful photoshoot! ~\(^o^)/~

Sailor Pluto Portraits

I think I look really stun all the way for this photoshoot.. And if you notice, shadows appeared at below my cheekbones. I think I clenched my teeth too much cos I am afraid to laugh and form laugh lines...

It wasn't been very good for me (health wise) as I got a migraine that started on CNY eve and it goes on until CNY Day 1, the moment i stepped in my own home, it kinda stopped. =_=" I think the point when I see my own home, it relaxes my brain? Hahahx..~

Something off topic for a while.. I've always said my cat drools on keyboard and some of you might wonder how he actually can DROOL on my keyboard.. So here is..
My lovely Mimi the cat (its a boy!) who is in his cutest position.... : On my lap. (XD~)

In middle of night when he can't sleep or gets bored from doing nothing but sleep, he will stand up and put his paws on my chair, looking up at me to ask for my permission to cuddle him.
And so here is his usual position: Head on my right arm (sometimes even lying his whole head on it till my arms got numb), his body on my lap, under the keyboard slider (is that what you call it, slider?)...
Sometimes he will lay his head on the slider when his neck gets tired, resulting drools on the keyboard...

When I whip out my camera, he claws at the strap... He's a very good clawer i must say, hence the scars on my hands and leg...
He stays on my lap for about 15-30 mins before finally realising that he's not in a good sleeping posture, and Off he goes to lay somewhere more comfortable... =^.^=

Nowadays, I dress up in styles that suits my hair. I chose clothes towards rock, punk, manly styles. I'd neglected my sweet, cutesy dresses for some time ever since my hair got cut to this length. (,=∧=,)

On 8 Sept, I went to one of my friend's wedding dinner

I cried for few days now, as my body is too heaty and that always make my eyes feel very hot and it gets all sensitive and tear lots non-stop.. It kept ruin my eye makeup!!! (#$^%@)#%_(_@$*%@#&$

THIS IS DA BREAKTHROUGH!!!
Have you ever tried to do a look that you had decided in your mind which probably gonna look great but turned out "Sharks... why isn't it like what I wanted..?"
Well yah, it happens to me zillion of times.
I have this borderline that my eyeshadows will always stop at, and it doesn't ever go beyond it. I feel that there is this big lobang (empty space) between the brow and my e/s border line (as drawn on left pic)
I been telling myself many times to blend the colours higher! HIGHER! But it just don't go up!
But this time! I think I broke that line! See how "ROUND" my e/s appears on my lid on the right pic, compare to the left which is "FLAT". HA,HA! YES I did it!

On 9 Sept, my colleagues and I had a dinner gathering at Robertson Quay. There's this new shop opened by my colleague's husband. They sell North Indian food! YUM! One of my favourite! I just can't stop thinking of NAANsssssss (credits http://www.sailusfood.com).

Their shop is call BAR BAR BLACK SHEEP, selling North Indian Cuisines. Its very very nice OMG, I think I was the only person who ate ALOT. XD~
If you girls often go to the quay, you can try this out! Beside this store, is another bar selling beer and such (I'm not an alcohol person, i know NUTS about them...~_~) The 2 stores share the same building. So you can eat naans and drink beer. kekekex~

Well then, since I thought of Quay, I thought of sitting near the river (indeed we were! so cooling and cozy~) relaxing, chit chat-ing while having my favourite Naans... etc..
So I plan to dress in my utmost relaxed mode... style. ---- Beach wear!

The e/s appears rather translucent or washed-off.. O2 Skin seem to be not very pigmented and blendable. VOV works alittle better than O2 Skin.

Cosfest Day 2! And guess who I am cosplaying as?????

If you are as uh-hum... OLD as me, you will definitely know who my group & I are cosplaying! (Provided if you do read comics and watch anime when you were a small kid..)
Answer for my character is Setsuna Meioh (Sailor Pluto) in her working Uniform! My group & I are just re-wearing this uniform cos our original plan didn't work out due to our wig didn't arrive in time! Sharks...

Below is my makeup for Pluto.. I always hate when I have to do a mature looking lady because I will turn into an AUNTY! Aunty Pluto.. sigh~ And my wig is like down to my butt's length which is so long and heavy! I have trimmed it 3 times, each time cutting away 5-10 cents thick of hair, so imagine how heavy it was the first time I wore it, about 3 years back! My wig kept falling backwards and I have to pull my fringe every 5 minutes.

(But I found out we have quite alot of pictures.. and I was tagged all over in FB -_-" Aunty Pluto cries out, "NOooooooooooo!!!....")
We just walk around and talk to friends.. That's why the title: "Let's Make Friends!"

Now, Let's rewind back a bit... back to the days where we had a Sailormoon Full Team Photoshoot: (where I remembered to wear the red ribbon!)
We are lacking a Sailor Chibimoon there and Sailor Saturn wasn't actually suppose to be in this picture but, we just replace chibi with her.. ^_^"

I just have to say that THIS was my Favourite Couple for Day 2: Nereid & Rykiel cosplaying Alichino!!!
I was lucky to have taken this shot so beautifully as nobody was passing by that passage.. Kudos to both of them in the great costume! Nereid being a wedding gown designer herself, made a great gown for her cosplay, I really love how she chose the materials for herself and probably had also helped Rykiel to choose the fabrics too.
And Rykiel, you are so handsome! Pls be my boyfriend!!! Xp

After all the walking around, photo taking, shrieking, hugging, jumping... etc etc.. Wendi and me went to Xrys belated birthday gathering at the nearby Acia restaurant (a korean-japanese-chinese fusion food). We were very disappointed with their service and their booking system. Xrys called to book 30 seaters but when we went there, the waitress said, we need to wait, its first come first served. Say WAT?!!!! Is it because they didn't charge any booking fee so we were treated just like the customers who queued outside?
Then what is this BOOKING system for then? Luckily, their restaurant (it does not look like a restaurant, more like fast food res) manager came to salvage the situation. Or otherwise we would have complaint to their higher authority or whoever it is. =_=
However food wise, its still OK, not really great but satisfying enough for so many hungry souls out there after all the tiring cosplaying.

Lastly, a picture of the members (doing the 3 fingers sign) in our upcoming big project. We were all so excited!!!
Someone added on, "We looked like some Opera singer who just changed out of our costumes"
I had a good laugh at that statement. Cos you can see our makeup are so thick and wearing plain clothes.. Its like when passer-by sees you, they go "⊙⌂⊙ HUH..URGH!!!"

And BOOMZ! My lovely Yoyo blinded me with these reflectors when I hit my camera shutter! (Naughty naughty, for not telling me first!)

Amber bought a polaroid camera and she took some pics with it. We all went jumping happily around (like some carzy monkeys) when the photos got developed at the spot! XD~
I think we human beings got too advanced with screens & monitors, so much that when we use a classic gadget, we get so excited!!
**Polaroid knowledge: Do you know? You should not shake to & fro (I always do that ^_^") or bend developing photos as particles in the air will be caught on top of it, spoiling the photo.

Something out of topic... Amber bought me this when she went KL! So cute!~ I guess I wont be writing anything on it, just put it in my cats collection corner..♡

Here is MUA Concealer & NYX Circe Lipstick~

Reviews: MUA, MAC, EDM, MUFE Concealers
MUA: I find this concealer veeeery smooth, easy to glide on, comparing to MUFE and MAC.
MAC: Driest among the cream concealers, however I think it conceals better than MUA & MUFE because it is dry, it will not glide off easily when I trying to put foundation ontop of it
EDM: Mineral powder form, drier than cream concealer but I find it has the best conceal factor so far.
MUFE: Smooth, however not so buildable, unlike MAC. Hence the concealer will not look very thick but it also kind of glides off easily when I touched it.

My Ideal Concealer
I only use concealer under my eyes to cover dark circles. Only once a bluemoon I will need it to hide my other flaws such as pimples, dark spots/scars..
I am very happy with EDM Peach & Abbott's Perk Me Up(Peach+Yellow) Concealer because so far their concealing power is the best that I've came across. However they will cause wrinkles to become very visible. =(
I wanted to try other concealers that can give me the effect of EDM's and has a perfect Peach shade, I reckon it will be quite an obstacle for me unless I could bring myself to spend more money on a tiny weeny concealer... (5 concealers for $59, doesn't hurt me as much as $49 for 1 concealer.. ^_^")

MUFE Mix & Match
To get the perfect Peach shade as of EDM's, I mixed Orange & Light Beige.. In the pic, you can see I had done 2 mixes below EDM's Peach swatch.

MUA & MUFE Mix & Match
You add more Orange, it gets more Peacher and you add more beige, you get lighter peach.
Up to now, I'm still experimenting how to get my perfect dark circle concealer. >,< I had thought of adding MAC into the mixture in future to see if it will become EDM Abbott's shade.

Experiment of MUFE Concealer
On my right undereye. I shall warn all viewers: NOT to open this file if you are afraid of seeing a ghostly eye!
Neh... just kidding. XD
But yeah, I find that the half eye look kinda scary in this pic, hence I covered it up with some stars... I hope it helps to reduce the scariness.... much. ^_^"
Just to clear some parts incase some of you wonder...
1. I have combi skin, some parts turned or look oily when I put my moisturiser on.
2. I have dry undereye, hencesome concealers caked inbetween the creases/wrinkles, especially if it is cream concealers.
3. My skintone is yellowish/peach but usually my MU I will choose a lighter shade of yellowish-beige.

I know and heard that they are good from here and there resources and raves... Its really up to me to decide if I want to fork out that much money to buy just 1 corrector! (I am such a troublesome person ya i know.. U_U")

My eye sparkled at the look of this blouse being hung on the top rack... Though its rather short for a men's blouse (and me) but I like the bright colour contrast! I am stilling looking for a decent Red-Black checkered long blouse, but to no avail! >,<

In actual, the colours are still slightly different from the pics, most likely affected by my room's orange lightings.
Narcissus is Hot pink colour on the lips, but in the swatches, it doesn't appear so... =\

I wore one of the lipsticks and took some pics, but now I couldn't remembered what was the lipstick I wore.. It seems to be PARIS.

Likey this lip colour~ NYX lipsticks really are more long lasting than my other drugstore brand lipsticks!

Watsons newest Haul
Uriage Rinse-Free Cleansing Lotion $32.90: For Combi-Oily skins. After reading everbluec's haul blog, i just gotta try it too! But hers is for sensitive skins.
Uriage Thermal Fluide (Moisturizer) $32.90: For Normal-Combi skins. The word "Free-Radicals" on the box draw me to it! ^.^
Renew Purifying Facial Exfoliator $20.35: Contains Rose Hip Oil. Last bottom 2 pics are the exfoliator, the white particles kinda feel like salt but it ain't because it doesn't dissolve even though after rubbing it many rounds on my hand.
Beauty Formulas Cooling Mist $1.95 each: Call me CRAZY as I REALLY like collecting bottle and bottles of Cooling mists!! I just can't do without it in the hot season!
