OOTD & LOTD: CNY Day 3 (feat. Promod, Mary Kay Hollywood Mystique)

Day 3 of Chinese New Year and so I decided to wear my newly bought floral jeans which I got at Promod!
I didn't went shopping for the New Year on purpose, I just so happen to walk past Promod's window display at Paragon and the faded floral prints attracted me immediately upon one glance. Then I make a quick left turn to go in and look for it. It was actually their Floral Jacket which attracted me first. But it didn't look good on me so I went around to look for others that have the same prints and I spotted the trousers. As I know that Promod's bottoms are pretty long, long enough for my never-ending legs (lolx~) so I decide to give it a try! One try and I purchased it. (^∇^)v~ It cost SGD$79.90. $$$ flies~
Here's a pic of the Floral Jeans taken with my Canon cam. The colours a little off from original as this was taken at night with flashlight.
This is actually one of Promod Spring 2013 Collection. Spot the same item that the model is wearing HERE. (Image from Promod Website)
Close-up view of the faded floral prints. The base colour is grey (like this) but I kinda look like greenish grey here, maybe because of the dim lighting in my room.

Mary Kay Hollywood Mystique LOTD & Review
Next up, my LOTD using these 2 for my point makeup. See swatches of them in HERE

Using Mary Kay Hollywood Mystique Eye Intrigue Color Quad on my eyelids.
Basically I used all 4 shades by applying the lightest shade over my whole eye lid til the crease.
Then 2nd lightest over the eyelid too but end it at below the crease, and then 2nd darkest shade above my lash line. And lastly the darkest shade I lined it along my upper lash line and the outer corners of my bottom lash line. The colour payoff isn't that intense but its still strong enough to be noticed on my medium fair skin tone, especially the light yellowish gold shade.
The rest of the eye makeup I used the same technique as of the look I did on CNY Day 2 (see HERE)

The full eye makeup look using the following:
Primer: NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
Eyeliner: Bonavoce Premium Liquid Eyeliner in Black (Read my Review)
Waterline Eyeliner: Majolica Majorca  Jeweling Pencil in 71 (pinkish silvery colour)
Mascara: L'Oreal Paris Curl Impact Collagene Curl-Fixing Volume Mascara Waterproof
For the Mary Kay Eye Intrigue Color Quad, the eye shadows are semi-matte (or can say semi-satin too) with very little mica (glitter) in it. It is quite powdery and it is not very intense. The colour intensity is buildable but has a limit to it when using a brush to do so. I don't see any fall outs of the pigments under my eyes. I find that the colours compliments my skin tone and also my hair! ^,^
The colours are warm so it definitely works out for any warm skin tone people~
Due to its shade and texture, I find it also good to be used as a blush. You can view my swatch HERE when I blend all 4 shades together.
This palette could work as my everyday neutral eyeshadows.

For my lips, I used Mary Kay Bold Shine Lip Color in Poised Pink.
The Bold Shine Lip Color is an opaque pale pink shade (not those that are too pale) with a little bit of gloss. It can conceal my pigmented lips about 70%. To fully conceal pigmented lips, I normally require to use more than 1 lip product, such as a lip liner + lipstick/lip color or, lipstick + lip gloss.
In this case, I used a pinkish nude lip liner to shade the lips and applied Bold Shine Lip Color on top of it. The lip color acts as both a lip color and a light lip gloss.
It has tiny shimmers in it which also helps to make the lips look 3D and its texture is thick & creamy but not sticky. As the shade is a pale pink, it doesn't look flattering on me when used alone, so I often pair this up with either a lip liner, lip gloss or even a lipstick.

Oh yah I almost forgot to mention that I also used the following for face makeup: Face Primer/ Makeup Base: Stila one step correct primer
Concealer: Orange shade from MUFE 5 Camouflage Palette Cream (Concealer Palette No 5)
+ Lavshuca Finish Powder High Cover
Blush: Illamasqua Powder Blush in Unrequited
Most of the time I'm plain lazy listing out all the things I used on my face, I just zoom into the point makeup only. But I duno why this time I wana do that.. hahax~

And yeah, that's all for my OOTD & LOTD!~

*PEEKS* Happy Lunar New Year & Happy Valentine's Day!!!~~ (⌒ω⌒)

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

LOTD & OOTD: LUNA SEA Concert ~ Hair Colour Adventure ~ Reviews (feat. MUFE, L'Oreal, Goldwell)

Heyyyyy alll~ Today I'm going to talk about my experience on my first ever Jrock concert, LUNA SEA The End of the Dream Asia Tour 2013, which happened past Friday! ^_^
First up is my LOTD~ All ready to go for the Rockin'! ~\m/(^_,^)\m/~

My Hair Colour Adventure
Before I continue... I just wana show something I did on the eve of the Jrock concert.
Well, besides planning what to wear for the concert... I re-dyed my hair. With all the salons fully booked or closed for the Chinese New Year season, I decided to attempt DIY Hair dye at home to bring the orange back to life!
My orange hair basically had faded till almost ashy orange? light peach? some said amber.. well I duno what to call it, just see it for yourself.. ^_^"
Gahhhhhhhh... The ends are almost grey!

And so, I bought this Berina Hair Color Cream in A19 Golden Orange at IvyCosmetics only for $9.90 (90cents discount=$9) just because.... its named Golden Orange, the colour that I want. hahax~
This hair dye is made in Thailand. There are no gloves, instructions manual slips, capes, hair conditioner/mask.. nothing.
*Note the exp date is May 2013!!! I only realised it after I used it. =_="

Except for these 2 cream & 9%..... Bleach i guess?

Forgetting that my hair had already gone through bleaching, I went on squeezing all the contents from the tube and bottle into this Tau Huey Bowl. So who wants some tau huey?? Yum~~~

Berina Hair Color Cream Review
Even though the dye has bleach in it, I don't smell or feel any 'bleaching' on my scalp. But when I wash off the dye, my hair feels dry or I should say, drier than before I dyed it. So did the bleach make my hair dry? If so, then why is my roots still kinda black? hmmm...
When washing, the 'red' dye got washed out very fast... or maybe my hair is short? The red dye didn't bleed anymore after about 5 mins of rinsing.

My hair taken on the next day looks like this in my Iphone. I love the waves~~~ Looks super smooth yah? Lolx~

L'Oreal Paris EverStrong Deep Replenishing Masque Review
For these few days, I been washing my hair with several different shampoos depending on my scalp condition. I don't wash depending on my hair condition because scalp to me is more important and if it gets really oily, it will affect my mood and of course, my hair style too (which inturn will also affect my mood if I have bad hair day. lolx~)
I have been using L'Oreal Paris EverStrong Deep Replenishing Masque religiously almost every 2 days for my hair ends. It helps in hydrating my dry hair ends without making it feel oily, sleek (I don't like hair to be sleek), flat and most importantly, it doesn't cause itchiness to my scalp or worst, by making my scalp oily too. I know we don't apply hair mask on the scalp or near it, but with my short hair it is inevitable. The mask will definitely get to my scalp one way or another when I run it through my hair with my fingers.

The texture of the masque looks like this:

After masking, I will apply conditioner. (Just like face, you need a serum and a moisturiser. Hair works like this too) With my new warm orange hair, I definitely need a conditioner that can keep its colour and radiance. I dug into my stash of hair products and found Goldwell ColorGlow Deep Reflects Conditioner (Warm Brown) which I received quite sometime back (last year) from them.
Warm Brown... for Warm Golden Orange hair... that would work yah? Hhahax~
For the past few days, my hair colour maintained pretty well without any bleeding at all during hair wash. So I suppose this hair conditioner did helped alot. It also helped in smoothing my hair texture especially the ends. But it felt slightly oily, so I applied only a little bit, unlike the hair mask.

Anyhoo, after 4 days, my hair looks like this.
(Left pic: Under indoor white spot light. Right pic: Under natural sunlight)
At least the orange is still bright & obvious and the ends didn't fade to blonde/ grey. I'm not sure if it will continue to fade after that.. I shall monitor it and update on Instagram if it does.

Alright, now back to my LOTD!~
I only used 2 purple shades for this look. Continue to read to learn what I used on my eyes~

Don't be blaffed by the neon shade here, it only appear super purple because of the lighting... and I'm using the front cam of my Iphone. ^_^" Later in this post, you will get to see more of my LOTD~

OOTD: Rock on!!!
I was debating whether to wear this denim vest or not... Posted this on instagram, twitter & FB and everyone who replied said 'wear it'!
And so I did!~
Oh, my purple eyes matches the web/fishnet tights. Thanks to Jerlaine for reminding me to wear PRETTY leggies, and so she kinda reminded me that I have these for a long time but haven't got chance to wear them. Super happy that I can put them on now~ Btw its actually a gift from Na. ^_^

Posted this on my Instagram

LUNA SEA The End of the Dream Asia Tour 2013
Gotta thank these people for bringing cameras and offering to take pics with me otherwise, I won't have any pics of me at the event. hahhax~
Here's me, Xinyi, Kiyora and Kiyora's friend. Credits to xinyi's camera and her bf, Jon.
I'm like a big giant beside them.... (<_<")

And thanks to Kai too for taking pic with me~ Why i look so upset? Cos my hair got centre parting?
I like her tattoo stockings! Just realised we both wear denim outers. hahax~

And finally inside the concert hall!! I think its fate that my Jrock 'old' friends (not old as in age..) came walking in infront of us. I literally just wave my hands into their face hahhax~

This is the one and only most beautiful picture I took using my iPhone... As can see, I'm at the upper deck. Alot of my friends are at the first level! I'm not a huge HUGE fan of LUNA SEA but I still love them especially Sugizo! ^_^ And I love Ryuichi's vocal~ It makes me tremble~~~
I must say that I enjoyed the concert alot more than a Kpop concert. I love both kinds of music but for me to enjoy it is to be able to see the artistes with my very own eyes and not through a camera screen. As much as I want to capture them in my phone too, I don't go through the hassle of recording the concert or snapping 323059592348 photos of them the whole time. If I really want to, 10 pics or 1 min video clip is more than enough.
From the upper deck, I can clearly spot less than 10% of the fans are holding their phones/camera up to take pics/videos of Luna Sea when they were performing. When it come to silence moments, there will be more than 30% of the fans holding their phones up. And when they start performing again, all phones are down.
Unlike Kpop concerts (or MAMA which I went to), its like more than 30% of the fans will hold their phones up throughout the concert. I cant even see who is dancing infront of me. All I could see are the artistes through someone else's phone/camera screen. I think Jrock fans truely know how to enjoy a concert, they jump, they shriek, they headbang to every song that Luna Sea plays. I love this kind of crowd... or perhaps, its because we are older? I think most Luna Sea fans are like age 25 and above? lolx~ So we kinda feel tired holding a phone up for too long.. (besides Sebas that is. Lolx~)

After the concert, old friends gathered at Bugis for steamboat x BBQ. No need to say where I am, you can spot me even from another building.

An instagram pic of me and Mimi after the concert~ His pupils sho big!

LOTD with MUFE & Sleek Palettes
Left: MUFE TechniColor palette
Right: Sleek Carribean palette

I headbanged, I sweat, I ate steamboat.. and my hair & face is like this...

Eye makeup featuring the 'Lilac' shade from MUFE TechniColor palette and 'Purple Haze' from Sleek Carribean palette.
I applied Lilac all over my eyelid and then used Purple haze at the crease and outer corner. I need to practice more on shading dark colours as I always have 1 rounded corner and 1 sharp corner. *sigh~*
Even though the purple doesn't look neon as it is in previous pic, it still looks strong and very obvious when I look at it in the mirror. It didn't fade or have any fall-outs either.
The MUFE Lilac colour-payoff is really great! When I apply it on my eyes, the colour is exactly how it looks like from the palette. You know when you use light shades, it often appear even lighter than the palette. Or most of the time I think it is until I met MUFE eye shadows. Gota ♥♥♥ them!
Sleek's Purple haze is also pigmented but I find it hard to blend it into MUFE Lilac. I can see obvious lines of the dark purple at my creases. PLUS, I lack the skill in doing such eye makeup properly, so the whole eyelid colour just look kinda uneven. I am sorry to have spoilt all of your eyes for looking at my ugly LOTD... ^__,^"""

To end this post with a CNY mood, I present you red flowers sold by JONES!
One JONES selling CNY decorations not enough, there must be another JONES selling flowers ah?

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

Event & Swatches: Loreal Paris Shine Caresse lip color

Last month, I was invited to Equinox, Swissotel to view the new lip launch as well as an exclusive preview to the upcoming Les Ombres Eyeshadow, Curl Impact Collagene Extreme Resist Mascara and Lucent Magique Two-Way Powder Foundation launch by Loreal Paris.
Here I present the NEW Loreal Paris Shine Carasse lip color.

Loreal Paris Shine Caresse Event

There's also an express makeover booth for us try on the new products and Shine Carasse on our lips!

The 3 makeup that are to be launched! Shine Carasse (lip color), Color Riche (Eyeshadows), Lucent Magique (foundation).

16th Jan 2013 - With the dawn of a new year, L’Oréal Paris Cosmetics is glad to celebrate a new  generation of shine on your lips with Shine Caresse. Key magazine and newspaper editors, retailers, beauty bloggers, makeup artists and local celebrities joined us on the 14th Jan at Equinox, Swissotel in exploring this new lip launch as well as an exclusive preview to the upcoming Les Ombres Eyeshadow, Curl Impact Collagene Extreme Resist Mascara and Lucent Magique Two-Way Powder Foundation launch.

L’Oréal Paris presented the Shine Caresse show, artfully produced by Jerome Wasthi and makeup looks created by Larry Yeo. Emcee Lavinia Tan gave the audience a walkthrough of the inspiration behind each of the 8 shades as well as introducing our new ambassador, international model Barbara Palvin.
To represent the spirit of Shine Caresse: youthful, fun, girly, sensuous and audacious, the brand  showcased three different scenes: the Shine Caresse girl in the tub, on a Harley bike and as a rock star, each wearing a different shade of Shine Caresse. It’s not a lipstick, not a lip gloss nor is it a lip stain- it’s all in 1 because it has the color intensity of a lipstick, the shine of a gloss and the long lastingness of a lip stain. Shine Caresse is a new generation of lip colour, and with 8 baby-doll shades, every girl is sure to find one for themselves.

After the event, we had a little souvenir to keep as a memory~

A new-generation color for brilliantly shiny lips.
For every young woman who’s dreamed of wearing sensual colors combined with a light, modern shine for naturally beautiful lips.
Shine Caresse, a one-step, easy-to-apply fluid texture for an infusion of color with a shiny wet-look effect. The secret: high-concentration moisture in a palette of 8 bright, vibrant, candy-colored shades.
Shine Caresse, the new innovation from Caresse.

Shine Carasse
Shine Carasse lip color is also a lip stain, it comes in 8 shades.
600 Venus, 603 Milady, 604 Bella, 605 Eve, 606 Lolita, 702 Juliette, 801 Princess, 900 Pretty Woman

Shine Carasse Packaging & Ingredients
All Shine Carasse ingredients are the same. On the box also shows the manufacturing date.

The content is viewable through the Shine Carasse transparent tube only near the oulet area. So you know how much of Shine Carasse you have left by peeking through the transparent casing.
The applicator has a tiny through hole in the middle, sometimes quite abit of lip color is trapped inside the hole (that is why the hole is not visible in the below pic).
Luxurious gold casing~ Shades names are labelled at the top of the tube.

Shine Carasse Swatches
Due to hole in the applicator that traps excess content, I spent a long time building layers of lip color  for this swatch. With the applicator, I could not apply a 2nd layer without erasing the 1st one. It was such a headache to intensify the lip colors on my arm. (⌐_⌐")
Close-up. The 702 & 801 doesn't look like they have any shimmers in it at all. Totally not viewable in both flash & without flash pics.
After blending them out with the applicator... Sorry it look messy as the lip colors turned sticky after awhile.

Shine Carasse Stains
They stain on my arm after leaving them on for more than 5 mins.
Although 702 Juliette & 801 Princess look like red & similar in real life but when look closely, they differ. 702 looks like bright orange-red (instead of the reddish-red) and 801 looks bright orange with a hint of yellow.
Shine Carasse can be used as a lip stain/ base, alone as a lip color or, over the lipstick color to add shine to it and make it last longer.

Loreal Paris is generous in giving their products! I also received their 6 new eyeshadow palettes - Color Riche Less Ombres and Curl Impact Collagene Extreme Resist Mascara!
More swatches & reviews coming up!~

Launch: L'Oreal Paris Hair Expertise EverStyle (Alcohol-free styling system)

This month, L'Oreal Paris launched their first alcohol-free hair styling line in Singapore.
Before the launch, I attended an exclusive sneak peek at L'Oreal Singapore Academy to learn more about L'Oreal Paris Hair Expertise haircare and hair styling products. And in this post, I'll present you with more information of their hair styling line - Hair Expertise EverStyle.

Hair Expertise EverStyle: Because Your Hair Doesn’t Need a Hangover
Now, hair styling can be a gentle wholesome affair with L’Oréal Paris Hair Expertise’s first alcohol-free styling collection, designed to achieve professional results without drying hair out.

L'Oreal Paris Hair Expertise EverStyle Event
A mini runway in the middle of the room, kinda reminds me of myself walking on one during my hair modeling times. lolx~

The full range of Hair Expertise products displayed.

Singapore, 11 December 2012 – Since its launch two years ago, L’Oréal Paris Hair Expertise has become Singapore’s no. 1 professional hair care brand. Loved by editors worldwide, the hair care label has won hearts and critical praise for its sulfate-free superior formulations, professional results
and luxurious scents.
Today, Hair Expertise unveils a brand new innovative collection that speaks right to the hearts of Singapore’s savvy style-conscious women. Now, who says flawlessly styled locks can’t be achieved outside the salon?
Introducing Hair Expertise EverStyle, the label’s first professional hair styling franchise that gives 24- hour long-lasting hold while providing utmost care to precious tresses.

Style without Harsh Substances
The most sophisticated and costly styling products can give you a perfectly styled coif but your greatest beauty ally is also a fiend, creating havoc on your hair with harsh alcohols that dry out the hair. These drying agents weaken the hair shaft until hair eventually breaks.
But high style shouldn’t have to come at such a high price; women can now get the best of both worlds.
The Hair Expertise Everstyle Alcohol-Free styling system is gentle on scalp and hair, containing no drying alcohols and parabens. What it contains instead is a 100% vegan formula, infused with highperformance styling polymers that shape, sculpt, boost and define without build-up. Plus, products are enhanced with natural botanical extracts such as Orange Peel Oil for an invigorating scentsational experience.

Sept - Oct 2011: Hong Kong ~ SG Massive Hauls + swatches (Lavshuca, NARS, Shu Uemura, Lancester, Seche etc..)

During September, I went Zhuhai, Macau, Hong Kong for work. At very short hours I grabbed alot of stuffs from the shelves without even looking at them! Hahax.. just kidding^^" But yah, I almost swiped off products from shelves cos I don't have much time to even think if I should buy them due to the busy schedule and itinerary!

Finally, I get my hands on MORE Lavshuca lippies (YIPPE YEAH YEAH!) and also the NARS Orgasm Blush which my bro couldn't managed to buy during his Thailand trip! \^o^/~

(refer 2nd row pic: sequence from left - right, top - bottom)

Lavshuca Star Decoration eyeshadow palette in green HK$88: CP for Na! ^^
NARS Orgasm Blush HK$240: Call me CRAAAAZEH! =p I buy just because I want to own an Orgasm... tsk (≥⌂≤")
Lavshuca Makeup Base KH$78: also CP for Na! ^^
The following 5 Lavshuca items, I'll put in detail after this.(scroll down)
Majolica Majorca Powder Brow Customize BR782 HK$58
Kuromi card & coin holder ~HK$10
Cute (Q 版) Disney Tigger Table Scrub Sponge HK$10
Leopard print brown tinted shades HK$50: Believe or not, bargain from HK$300. This auntie seller is crazy, think I'm a tourist so want to con me? Over my dead body. Pft.
Strawberry print ankle socks 3 for ~S$10
I didn't buy Laniege but I REALLY REALLY Love its BB Essence Balm! I wanted Bodyshop's Extra Virgin cream compact but its too oily.. Laniege's cream compact feels so smooth & sheer, I would want to get one~ T^T But I didn't turn back cos not enough time for more shopping.I think i cost about S$48 which is reasonable and I also tried their sunblock, its feels so good too! Should I buy them in Singapore or ask someone to CP? Which one is cheaper? o_O

I forgotten to swatch for NARS Orgasm, mean time, just refer to: (Above is Korres, Below is NARS) Credits to Swatchgirl.com

UNIQLO Uniqlooks Contest: Check me out on 联合早报 (LianHe ZaoBao)~ ^__^v~

Today, you took out your morning Chinese Newspaper - LianHe Zaobao, do you see something very Yellowish on the front page????
Yap, THAT's ME Alright! hhahx~

I got a SMS from my schoolmate (Thanks Yisun! ^^) to inform me that she saw my pic on the front page, I was like Huh? For wat? What did I do?!
Then I saw a FB post by Linda (Thanks for taking this big head pic~hahax..) and I saw my big face. I was like OMG front?! Not that I want to be haolian- proud ...ok, NOW i'm proud =p~ Because its my FIRST TIME to have my face on front page ok! >_<
Then the first thing that comes to my mind is: I cannot go opposite coffeeshop already!! They all can recognise me! I'm the so far most yellow headed gal in Punggol ah~ ~_~" *paiseh* (Proud & paiseh, confused feelings..)

But now sad thing is that, I DO NOT HAVE THE NEWSPAPER!!!(*%@_%(@_#$ It was sold out by the time I ask my helper to get it from the coffee shop.. Zzz..
Anyhoo, I'm glad at least to know that my workplace has the newspaper and I get to keep that (although its been used many times by public). hahax..

This is what Linda (*muacks for taking such clear pic of it!*) took and posted in my FB. I heart this pic cos my makeup shows up very nice and clear and the strong colours like yellow, purple (specs), blue shows up nicely too!
After which, Amber replied: And your 早报 photo hoh... Waaah!! The “没得到”... Very inauspicious leh... 没得到什么!?
I said the
“没得到” is about another article! (I think..) kekex..
Then she said: Ooooh!!! Okok! I was like... What 没得到!?太过分了!没得到也不用登得那么大吧!hehehe!
I LOLed! Super cheeky Amber. XD~
