Shot 31 Oct 2010 - Halloween Night Out ~ WALOLI DEAD DOLLS ~

Halloween!!!!!
What does it remind you of??? YES....SCARY, BLOODY, GHOST, GORE, TRICK OR TREAT, PUMPKINS....... PARTY!!!

Well, there isn't much partying for me this time round. More like dressing up, walking around, taking pics, Puri, and eat.... hhhaax~ (Isn't it what I always do? -_-)

The left pic shows 2 girls wearing Waloli (Japanese Traditional clothes with Lolita Fashion) and that's basically what I wore on Halloween night.
The picture was found on A+LIDEL official website long ago but the site's not available now.
From my understanding, the picture was drawn by a Japanese artist and his/her pictures inspired A+LIDEL to make costumes from the drawings into real clothings.
TO view of A+LIDEL fashion, see HERE.

I found this picture 4 years ago and immediately, love this pic so much that I decided to custom make the waloli set with all the ready fabrics I could get.
So, is it called Dressup? Or... Cosplay?
I feel its not exactly cosplaying the characters as I do not have the exact prints and masks. So I'll call it as Dressing up but following the picture pose. ^_^"

Here's a studio (the studio is my home..haha..) shot of me and my friend in the costume took almost 4 yrs ago.. Don't ask what the hell is EnSu Dolls! I forgot why i name that! (-_-") Basically its the same pose with different backgrounds! hahahx~ I'm THAT great with photo manipulation. =p~ *prouds*
Note: the chinese characters on the shoulder area are photoshopped in, they are not printed on the costume.
And a silly funny pic of us:

Halloween OOTD
And on Halloween, we intend to make some changes to our outfit...
We are the WALOLI DEAD DOLLS!!! (I look so dead, why my friend Nessa look so ALIVE! *headdesk*) And a MAJOR wrong wrong thing I did is to put that YELLOW FLOWER ON MY HEAD! (*headdesk x 999*)

And then, an INCIDENT HAPPENED!
While Nessa & me were hanging just outside ION Sephora, taking pictures by the stretch of empty walkway, we were approached by a cute lady & her guy friend looking all so excited with big eyes, asking where we buy our costume from. She complimented that our costumes are really pretty and touched our sleeves. Lolx..
Then as soon as I told her its custom made, she looked so sad! Then she gets enthu again and ask where we got the fabrics from, I told her its from overseas. And she turn sad again! XD~ She reminds me of PUPPY!!! OMG!!~ So cute! hahhax~
She complimented our costumes again and then she went off waving goodbye smiling~ ^.^v~ Sometimes its things like this which happens once in awhile on something that we made effort to do, and we get true compliments from strangers that made our day. =D ♥♥♥ Isn't it??? (I just lost a $50 note during my work on 30th Friday and 31st I got this compliment, it fills the hole in my heart )

The 4 of us! (Di, Nessa, Sel & me!) I look damn 'dead' here...hahax!
I love both Sel & Di's dressups even though both of them are rather different genre. Sweet & Cool~ We are all Fashion Junkies!

Random Puris:

I know I'm bad.. Nessa really looked so stun in the first pic.. xD But I wanted that photo so badly as I have that Sluty look which I L♡VE!!
See the witch hat? Its Mi (Witch)! I've really got that witchy look there~
The big leopard ribbon on my head is ♥!! (Like Lady Gaga! XD)

Waloli Dead Doll LOTD

Eyebrow:

- MAC eyeshadow in Charcoal Brown Matte

And that's a whole lot of makeup!!! ARGHH.... My face was super dry at the end of the day =_=" But ♥Neutrogena Eye & Lip Remover♥ is always here to save my day with just 1 SWIPE! And all eye makeup together with the fake lashes will come off! =D~

So how did you spend you HALLOWEEN??? ^.^

P/S: I don't know why... Onsugar kept refreshing my page and I retyped the 2nd time. But luckily on the 3rd refresh, I got all the HTML saved in my desktop Notepad... PHEW~~~

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

miwitch's Skincare & Base Makeup Regimen - Hada Labo Focus Group by FR3B

I was thinking of writing reviews of the most recent products that I've bought and tried, but I think writing a regimen better explains how the products work on me as I find that only when they are used together, it makes my skin better. It is not only about 1 product, it is the whole set of skincare products I use that can give me better skin.

Some people will go lazy, skipping toners, serums/essence, or eyecreams, thinking that moisturizers can do all the work, or cleansing/scrubbing is enough.
And I must admit that I am kind of lazy sometimes too but I can be very hardworking as well, going all the way to massaging almost everything onto my face. (sound kinda silly right? XD~)

I will speak of my 'most hardworking' way of skincare & makeup regimen... I don't want to speak of my lazy part otherwise, some people might just follow! Xp~

Before I start, I just had to say that this entry is not really about promoting or recommending Hada Labo products. Its just coincidence that when I bought my hada labo products for only 3 weeks, an invitation to a Focus Group by FR3B was sent to me. Hence, I started to perk up and do the 'most hardworking' skincare routine so that I could get the best results from the products I use, and be able to explain more of my thoughts about their products.

Enough of explaining, let's STARTO!

~*♡♥♡♥♡*~
Morning Skincare to Base Makeup Routine

1. Aqualabel White Clear Foam: For every morning face wash. It has whitening effect after washing as it contains white clay powder (But I kind of feel like its not whitening, its more like making my face look paler). I like how clean it washes my natural sebum off from my face as I always wake up with quite an oily face. On the other side, it is rather drying too. I am currently thinking to use this only at night and replace it with a moisturising or gentle face wash for morning.
(Taken from http://www.aqualabel.com.tw/products/b_index.htm)
2. Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Lotion: Drop a few drops on my palm, spread around both hands and then start pressing it against my face (including my eyes), following the method I've seen from the HK Hada Labo CF. I find that it is better absorbed when you press your palm on your face for longer timing, compare to quick patting. Most users tend to only pat it in quick motions as they're in a rush and want it to be quickly absorbed, hence experience a very sticky end result. I find the stickiness feel is not a problem or either that I might had gotten used to its stickiness ^_^"
(Taken from http://www.hadalabo.com.sg/index_EN.htm)

3. Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Essence: 1 pea size of essence and using the same pressing method as mentioned above, on my eyes. As my eyes are very dry and currently more wrinkles are forming due to lack of sleep and over-using my eyes watching manga, monitors.. (=_="), hence I use the essence to moisturise my eyes first before I put my eye serum on. (If you wish to follow, please do it at your own risk! I am not responsible if you grow milia seeds around your eyes!)
+plus+
Lancome Blanc Expert Anti-Dark Circles Eye Serum: 1 pea size of serum and spread around my under eyes and a little on my eyelids. I will massage my eyes in circular motions clock wise 10 times, anti-clockwise 10 times, then clockwise 10 times again. This helps my tired eyes to revive and kind of make the dark circles looks a little lighter. The serum contains mini mica so it also brighten up my under eyes. It is watery and smooth, easily spread around, so massaging it around the eyes is quite easy.

/or/

Decleor Relaxing Eye Cream: This eyecream is equivalent to the above 2 products, more like a 2 in 1 eyecream. It moisturises and it can reduce puffiness and dark circles. However I feel that using this eyecream alone is not as good as using the above 2. It moisturise but lesser, it reduces dark circles but not as visibly. Hence, I only use this eyecream when I am really in a rush. It is between lotion and cream type, easy to massage on eye for first few rounds, after that it becomes a little sticky, preventing me to glide around my skin, hence I can't finish up my usual 3 steps eye massage.

4. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Essence: Its watery with a smooth feel after skin absorbs. Moisturising level is not up to my expectation but still, I consider it as a hassle-free product! A pump-spread-pat and go kind of product. Good for people who don't want to spend too much time putting on skincare!
I still do some 'anti-gravity' massaging on my face with the essence but before I could finish my massaging, my face already absorb all the essence. 2 ~ 2½ pumps is just nice for my face and neck.
Aqualabel Enhancer MO: Few drops on a cotton pad and lightly pat it onto face & neck in upwards motion (excluding eyes). This enhancer contains collagen (I love collagen! =p~) so I feel its good to end with this enhancer since I had been doing all the 'blood circulation', 'anti-gravity' massages, so this is an additional plus point for my regimen! Very lightweight, watery, moisturising kind of lotion. (Heard that sensitive skin have no problem using this range)

5. SANA Pore Putty Makeup Base Clear: Right after my last step of skincare routine, my face usually still feels tiny bit sticky. And when I apply on the pore putty, I feel an instead smoothness on my face. It is not an oily-smooth, nor is it a powdery-smooth. It is just Smooth-smooth! ^.^"" It fills up my large pores on my cheeks and nose just like the picture shows... like cementing your face. hahhax...
L'egere -Korea- Water Drop Shiny Pearl BBCream: Original colour of the content was quite dark shade of brown, after using my middle and ring fingers to spread it out on my face, the colour turns to 1 shade lighter than my skintone. It also brightens up my dull skin and visibly conceals my dark circles! Although it concealed my flaws, but I still find my undereye looks greyish, hence I will do my eye concealing work on top of the BBCream.
The BB has sunblock with moisturising effect and most importantly its sweat proof! Although it doesn't state the SPF, but I feel that it does have some sunblock effect.
Hereby putting up a pic taken at a most recent event that I've ran, I was running around from early morning 6am till 12pm, outdoors (The weather was not very hot, but still I'm taking in free UV Rays like nobody business!). I had my usual morning skincare & base makeup routine on that day, when I finally could go to toilet to check out my face @ 11+am (I've already started to imagine half melted makeup and many caked laugh lines and getting prepared to stun myself in the mirror), all I was looking at was a perfect makeup-ed face with only some sweats around my forehead... PERFECT I say! I was so amazed and this prove that the BBCream is really sweat proof! It's moisturising factor I would give...70%, conceal factor 80%, anti-oxidant & fights dullness 85%, other factors... unsure.. hahax~
Picture is taken right after I went to the toilet. Top pic is taken outdoor and bottom is indoor. As can see, you'll find the outdoor pics looks natural, but there is some white cast on my face with a greyish tint in the indoor pics.

(Taken from http://www.sana.jp/en/makeup/poreputty/index.html) (Taken from http://www.legere.com.tw/en/products_detail.php?cID=1&Key=4)

6. *Extra Point* In the morning-afternoon @ my workplace, I will drink a cup of hot Green Tea (no milk, no sugar!). this helps to keep me awake plus my body will take in its anti-oxidants , preventing my face and skin from turning dull (as due to lack of sleep, over-work etc..)
I would say Green Tea is a better choice compare to coffee if you ask me how to keep yourself awake from your boring work. XD~ And before I take my sip of tea, I will first have a deep breath of Green Tea scent from my cup. =p~

Night Skincare Routine

A. Aqualabel Deep Clear Oil Cleansing: 3 full pumps on dry hands and spread all around face & neck, draw circular motions to remove traces of makeups. Afterwhich, take a little water, spread on palms and emulsify the oil cleanser on face. Continue circular motions on face, then wash off.
While my face and hands are still wet, I take 1 more pump and apply the emulsion onto face and this time I draw circles on eyes, nose, cheeks & jaw areas where I have most frequent clogged pores.
Aqualabel White Clear Foam: Strips off the remaining traces of makeup and the oil cleanser. Still, I feel the little dryness after using. =\
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant: I should name this as my Power (Fav) Product! As quoted, its really super fine powder. I dripped a few drops of water mix with the powder on palm, then spread the paste onto whole face (include the part nearest to undereye, as I have clogged pores there too) & neck. Lightly rub it concentrating yet again the parts that usually clogs up the most, and also areas like behind sideburns (infront of ear), behind ear, back of neck (if you willing to use that much powder). Until all the micro-powder beads fully dissolves, then wash off with water. Immediately, my skin feels so smooth and looks brighter! To further prove that the product is good, I've tested it throughout for 3 consecutive days. Everyday I put on makeup to work, my face looks so much brighter and the dullness doesn't comes back only until when I about to reach home at late night. On the 4th and 5th day, I stopped using it, and I see my face looking dull and not as smooth like the first 3 days. My face immediately turn dark when I apply my makeup. This microfoliant is my life!

Decleor Relaxing Eye Cream

D. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair: An anti-aging skincare which is to be used at night. I often alternate around this and Palmer's Fade Cream for night routines, or I will apply masks if I'm lazy.
Few drops of the serum and spread all over face (exclude eyes) and neck. Its gel-liquid type, absorbs real fast, even before I have time to spread it out. I will then cup my whole face with 2 hands for some time before I do my anti-gravity massage again.
After waking up, I feel my skin is hydrated, supple and feels 'repaired'. (Influenced by its name =p) I feel that its like an all-rounder, fights wrinkles, anti-oxidant, hydrates, repair damage skin...
PALMER’S Skin Success Ultra Fade Cream: This is a kind of skin bleaching product. I understand many of you might not be able to use this, but me having a very stubborn face or rather, thick skin face, I am blessed to be able to try any products and not have any reactions (so far so good *touches wood*)
This is by far the best skin whitener I've used and it works really very well on my scars, which often caused by over exerting pressure on my skin while I was picking my acne.. (itchy hands I know!) About 5-7 days, I can see immediate lightening effect on the scar that I applied on. Of course, the scar I said is a not a wound, so you can't apply on an open wound or acne that's not healed, you probably will get an infection if you put the cream on it!
And some claim that its very oily after using it, I find its still ok, as this is not the last step, I find moisturisers are usually the ones that makes the face oily. No massage is done when I use this cream.

E. Aqualabel Enhancer MO
Clinique Moisture Surge: A smooth gel like cream that protects my face from pollution, dirt and dehydration. After I applied a thin layer, I can feel like I'm wearing a shield, not afraid that my face will loose moisture. By massaging, the cream gets absorbed better into the skin. The next day I woke up although with a rather oily face, I still feel its hydrated, and when I wash off with water, my face feels supple and silky smooth.

~*♡♥♡♥♡*~

Night Treatment Mask Routine

i. Clinique Moisture Surge: Apply thick layer of cream onto face and massage it to allow it better absorbed by the skin. After massaging, if needed I will apply another thin layer on top before I sleep. The last layer will become a shield that traps the first layer of essence into my skin, kind of like how an enhancer work...
Kitoko Katani Masks: Another of my Power Product!.. Just can't get enough of these masks.. ^.^~ Comes in different types like whitening, hydrating, radiance, etc... I most love the Red Wine Mask as its hydrating effect is good! 1 pack of mask has enough serum that I could even spread on to my arms, legs, foot, chest... ^_^"" If I don't do that, the mask will be dripping serum all over my body! I put all masks inside my fridge, so my face gets instant coolness when I put on my mask.
One way that it helps is minimising my large pores, hydrates my face, firming and also fights wrinkles. It feels sticky after mask being removed. I massage the remaining serum into skin and if needed, I will remove excess with pressing a tissue over my face or strip off some serum by wetting my palms and wipes them off my face.

Hada Labo Focus Group by FR3B

On 16 July, I went to Vivocity to attend Hada Labo Focus Group held by FR3B company. I met up with the 2 Joyces (Joyce Lim & Joyce Sept) hehex~ =p
Man! I was like so lost when I came out of the MRT.. =_= I'm a direction idiot... And worst still, its first time that Joyce Sept went to Vivo! Together, we are lost birds...
Anyhoo, Joyce Lim saved us from having searching the whole Vivo to find that White Dog Cafe, its just infront of Faceshop! Phew~

So, at the cafe I saw noppi (U're so much cuter than the ones in your pics! i think you can throw your camera away already =X) and hazelnutt. (happily waving to her at the other end of table~ ^.^y~)
I also met 2 other bloggers but I can't recall their names already (its been a week... my memory is super short, if you're here pls shoutout to me! ^_^)

During the session, we were asked alot of questions like, what are our usual skincare routine... what are our favourite products among all the products we use in our usual routine... explain why we chose those products as our favourite (I mentioned it too in my skincare regimen above)

After understanding how we feel about using their products, they went on to find out where we seen their commercial and ads.. what we remembered and felt towards watching their commercial and advertisements... what is their tagline... etc.. Its a memory testing game for me! (>,<")

All in all, this focus group is a very detailed discussion (more like an Q & A session). I was initially thinking that maybe there would be alot of discussions between bloggers so the PR staff will grab infos from our conversations. But later found out that its rather a one-way traffic. I was quite enthusiastic in replying their questions mainly because I always liked to give opinions and suggestions (too responsive eh? ^_^" kinda too influenced by my job.. hahax..)
But I'm always stucked in my half sentence as my English is no good OTL||||

After the session and grabbing few bites off from the finger-food plates (which happen to be my dinner!), we finally gotten some freebies from them. A box of Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Mask and a sample size of Sunplay Powdery White Sunblock Lotion (SPF 47 PA+++).
Yeah! Another Hada Labo product to try!~ Infact I had used the sunblock before many years back. I quite like the smooth & whitening effect it gave after applying, but I couldn't remember much about how good it is in terms of blocking off the UV rays, probably one day I shall try it again when I finish up my current sunscreens.

Thank you for reading this longlong post written in such a bad English.. ^_^" I only know how to use a few common words and I think I've used it too often. Please bare with me for my future posts, as you'll probably be seeing those words again & again & again & again~.... =p

Lastly, I just have to say that I've spent writing this entry for 12 hours! (break up to 2 days) Can you believe it!?! =_= Mainly in between I was chatting with friend, hugging my cat, dozing off and what not...

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)

Shot 12 June 2010, Kevin @ StarDust event, Hauls

On 12 June Saturday, I met up with Amber, di, nessa to see Kevin @ Plaza Sing!
I initially wanted to wear the Magic Amber colour out but my other side of the brain tell me to test out the Aquadisiac. And so the other side of the brain wins...

The colour is much more intense and darker in shade compared to the pic, hence my friend said the e/s look rather too dark for a day look. (yesyes i know! I shouldn't have listened to my OTHER side of the brain! Urgh...)
Don't mind that little pink heart, I am having a BIG pimple growing right in the middle of my nose!

Loving Hyde's Roentgen Symbol Necklace!

My OOTD:
Mini Studs Hairband: Helen
Shades: City Square Mall (forgot the shop name)
Hyde Roentgen Symbol Necklace: China
Starry Top: Overseas
Pink inner Spag: GMarket
Tie-Dye Jeans: Overseas
Gladiator Shoes: AMK HUB Black Hammer (New haul! $23.30 after discount)

Back to Kevin's event at PS! Heres the stage... Not many people below the stage and first blogger I accidentally bump into was Verlyn! (waves to verlyn again!)

And here comes Kevin! He kept going in and out the crowd, spraying mist on people's faces, putting stuffs on their hands.. So cute~

See how many hands came out!!! Hahhax!~ I told Amber to quickly give him her hand and I took pic for her! XD~ Ahhh~ its so exciting lah!

See who's the 2nd model this time! ^_^ Dblchin~ After transformation.. WOOT! Look at her pretty smile~ ^_^
And Kevin trying the men's BBcream on a men's hand...

After everything ended, when Kevin was walking down the stage, some girls crowded at the stairs wanting to take pic with him, I quickly went up and pushed Verlyn to take pic with him, but she's not fast enough, the security already pulled Kevin off for his next event. =_="" Urgh.. wasted man.. (although its not me who is taking pic with him, but I'll be happy to always take pics of artist with my friends! =p )
After Kevin went off, I met na and saw Kim was there too! (Did I also saw someone else with Kim? I guess I'm rather blur that time after all the commotion.. *_*)

Shared with di buying L'egere products in total $120 with 20% discount plus $5 deduction if you're Starhub user, (Means you need to buy $150 products before discount - Verlyn's brain calculated out the original amount in a split second that I went! O_O! Wow...) and we got 2 of Kevin's book with signature and flyers with signature as well! The other book is with my friend hence no pic of it!

And here is what I've gotten for myself!~ Shall do a review if I find anything awesome about the products! =D

The next day 13 June event @ PS again.. (I had been walking around PS for the whole 2 weekends! -_-") Here's the sneak peek pic!

Till then! Cheers! (●♡●)
