Recently, I'd been yearning for more lip stuffs. Lippies from counter brands especially.. I'm not sure why.. hmm..
Anyhoo, I'm here today to show some of the lippies I'd gotten recently, counter brands of course. hahax~

Introducing.... Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Bobbi Brown, Coffret D'or.
And Mimi at the background. I feel that cropping him off kinda look weird so I just include him as background model. haha~
Why do counter brand lip products have to be packaged in BLACK + GOLD/SILVER???? Trend? (o_O") Why couldn't it be White, Green.. or even rainbow.....?

Recently hauled are these 2 lipsticks. I instagrammed these pics before.
Infact the reason why I bought GA lipstick is becos I read Sophia's GA review. ^^ I like the GA's magnetic cover, it can even stick to the base of the lipstick without dropping! The magnet is so strong that it snaps back instantly into position with a loud "TA!".

My first ever product from CHANEL gota be this lipstick. It was given to me as last year's birthday gift from Ariya (Na's younger sister). It kind of sit in my makeup drawer for quite sometime until today I finally thought of taking it out to flaunt to the world. Lolx~
Incase you wonder how the Chanel lipstick mechanism works, its like this:

Coffret D'or has this official website in english. Its super useful when comes to people like me who don't know japanese and always like buying japanese stuffs (lolx~) What I like about japanese products is that they always give VERY DETAILED explanations and descriptions and will not forget to include diagrams, illustrations, videos and whatnot.

My lips are dry on the day I swatched these lippies, so pls bare with the wrinkly lips *bows* m(_ _")m
Note: I have pigmented lips. Shade is darker nearer to the border of my lips and lighter to the centre.
I did not use any lip balm or concealer to conceal the pigmented areas. All the swatches are done on my bare lips.

CHANEL 32 La Ravissante is of a vermilion shade. On lips, it showed off as a tiny bit neon orangish-red shade. Its pretty matte on hand swatch as it doesn't reflect much light. Though matte, it still has that little bit of gloss when applied on lips. It's pigmented enough to cover my pigmented lips. It's slightly creamy hence its still quite easy to glide on my lips.
GIORGIO ARMANI pink 507 is slightly warmer pink (in compare to 508 pink). I thought I wanted to get 508 but to me its kinda too pale as I'm of a medium warm skintone. I prefer getting warm tone pink over a cool tone so I could use it everyday and not appear too wayang(like opera makeup) at my workplace. Soft and smooth texture, so soft that the lipstick 'moved' inside the tube. Do all the GA's lipstick melt that easily? (<_<")
Like chanel, GA lipsticks are also quite pigmented. It stayed on my lips for quite long and I experienced the pink staining my lips. Even with most of the pigments & gloss gone, I can still see a light shade of pink stain.

BOBBI BROWN Calypso Glaze 22 is a sheer coral shade with golden shimmers. Smooth texture, glossy and high level of shine due to the visible golden mica added to it. It's sheer hence it could not fully cover my pigmented lips (can see that underneath, my lips are greyish), I coated more than 5 times in order to cover the pigmented areas. I had to mention that it has this typical waxy lipstick smell and when applied on lips, I can still smell them. But after a few mintues, the smell's gone. So if you are one who hate waxy lipstick smell, keep away from this range.
This lipstick also broke on me, much worst than the GA one. It totally broke at the base maybe because of the 'sweating' (which is actually oil) making the lipstick texture too soft so it broke when I applied force against the tip. And then it starts going merry-go-round inside the tube. (=_=")
COFFRET D'OR PK-270 is a warm pink shade (slightly towards coral). Its a creamy, semi-pigmented & glossy. It covers my pigmented lips partially at first 2 coats, but it could cover better if I coat a few more layers (like shown in my lip swatch). Has very small shimmers in it to give extra shine. I love using this creamy liquid to top on other lipsticks to give more shine and conceal the pigmented areas and at same time smooth out my lip lines. Its my favourite gloss at the moment! ^^
